Of course I mostly lip synched to Connie Francis and Gale Storm, but the result was about the same.  ;D

I think you're the first person I know of who remembers Gale Storm.

We are now forecasted to get mostly rain here.  Disappointing...

Very weird--I could have sworn that someone had posted this clip from YouTube today (which prompted my question regarding Caterina Valente) but I can't find the original post.  Maybe I linked to it from another clip.  In any case, it's a fun Halloween clip featuring Miss Valente, Carol Burnett, Chita Rivera and--Boris Karloff!

Snowing here, too.  I'm off to bed and will be up early playing the are-they-going-to-close-the-library-or-am-I-going-to-sacrifice-another-vacation-day-to-the-weather game.

'night.

It is still snowing here. We've only hhad a couple inches but it's supposed to get worse overnight and the schools are all starting 2 hours late, so that means we start 2 hours late at work. Gotta love that.  I'm supposed to take my car in for service, but I'm going to reschedule. The garage is on the other side of town and I was supposed to be there by 8:00 AM. I'll probably still be digging out at that time. I'll call them when I wake up.

I only have one thing I'm supposed to do tomorrow and I've already told the people involved I'll call them if the weather is bad. If I'm really lucky the schools will cancel, then we get to take the day off.  Pretty goofy if you ask me, but I'm not complaining.

I wonder if DR MBarnum has ever seen THE FLUTE OF KRISHNA?  A beautiful short film from 1926.

I began my evening with last night's HBO presentation of ROME. We're at the point iun history where Octavius and Antony have made a truce so they can band together to fight Brutus and Cassius who outnumber them pretty severely. Love to see the story told from another perspective, and, of course, the fictionazed characters of Vorenus and Pullo are so gorgeous that they ALWAYS draw my attention.

You haven't been here long enough to remember our discussions of MY LITTLE MARGIE and OH, SUSANNAH, Gale's two wildly popular sitcoms, but we've talked about her at length in years past.

I had about half an hour before prime time began, so I pulled season three of WILL & GRACE off the shelf and played a fun episode - the one where Grace withholds sex from Josh (who promptly dumps her) and Will dates Charlie (with a charming Scottish brogue) and then Charlie doesn't call him back making Will think he was a bad date.

Really enjoyed seeing this entertaining show when it was in its rpime.

'24' featured two hours that were just about the most compelling action adventure that could be possibly be imagined. I was on the edge of my seat for much of the hour with one amazing surprise and thrilling sequence after another. Really two great episodes tonight.

HEROES -

oh, that sneaky Sylar is getting more and more powerful and dangerous. I think we can guess who's going to die next week.

I was so mad that Hiro and Ando fell for that charlatan or that Claire didn't see that her birth mother was primarily wanting money. Simply love Matt.

No Peter Petrelli this week! Wow!

I also had time to squeeze in tonight's episode of THE CLASS. FUnny, poignant, and romantic - this show has improved leagues from earlier in the season. Alas, I fear it's too late as far as CBS is concerned.

But he does know some important words in English. Namely "frog" and "dinosaur."

Which does he call you?

I need a hit man ASAP.

Surely Jrand should be able to put together a "care" package of appropriate goodies - and we have Cillaliz for defense, just in case.
