The entire cast of Upstairs Downstairs!
And the word of the day is: INSOUCIANT!My TOUCAN IS IN an INSOUCIANT mood today.
I just want to give everyone the heads up.... I will do my best not to snap at anyone but I have a funny feeling it is going to be extremely trying. I do not know how long my dad has. I appreciate the vibes and good words.Vibes to you and your clan, DakotaCelt.
Actually last night I had a good cry and it let out a lot of emotions.
Here at work, there is no AC today, so they are kindly letting us leave. You can't just staple a whole bunch of old Playbills together to make giant fans?
RLP, did you see the response I gave concerning your album cover yesterday?
Rodzinski, I agree wholehearted. Kurt Russell's performance as Elvis was terrific!
MBarnum, at a drugstore the other day, there was what looked like a Bollywood DVD that seemed kind of like Gulliver and the Little People. It involved a giant in some way, and some shrunken folks. I thought you might dig it as it combines two of your favorites: Bollywood and shrunken people.
Some of you are getting Arizona July/August weather. The difference is we are prepared for it because it comes every year.
Have been reading my new issue of SCARLET STREET which arrived today!
Yes, there is an interview with Mr Kenny Miller by DR MBARNUM, an interview with DR FJL & SKIP by MR BK himself, and a DVD review by yours truly (who is also the subject of a letter to the editor)....and an interview with a former DR and another one with her father.
Most enjoyable!
Don't remember the name, MBarnum. I meant to. But it is at the Duane Reade near Jose's place, where TPunk, my sis and I shopped after brunch on Sunday. Perhaps Jose could be so kind as to walk over and look for the title.
Jane, thanks so much for the warm welcome. As a newbie I'm still getting acquainted with all of you. I understand that you and I have a special connection. For all the word-lovers, is there a word (we can make up a word) for two Real People who are united in a fictional character?
Sorry, I only vaguely recall a Currie's Mile High Ice Cream spot in Palms. You went to Hami?
Finished the afternoon with PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES. Good enhanced transfer with strong Metrocolor and sharp images (except in Miss Day's close-ups, of course).
It always makes me a little mad when people made fun of Doris Day being a "professional virgin" forgetting that during those years that she made romantic comedies as a single woman, she was also playing wives or widows in movies like IT HAPPENED TO JANE, PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES, THE THRILL OF IT ALL, SEND ME NO FLOWERS, and MOVE OVER DARLING. I think she mixed her roles very well. People's memories can be very convenient.
I've considered subscribing to "Scarlet Street", but then I'm still waiting for the next issue in my "After Dark subscription.

Every July - must it be the same every year? Can we not break the habit? 108 posts at seven o'clock? I know it's hot, but since this is the coolest place in town then I'd say this is the place to be.
I'm always tempted to eat everything in the house, which is why I never keep food in the house.
Woo hoo! Finally!!
Page 5 Dance!!
Amazing thunder and lightning storm going on outside.
I want a cherry on a sundae, but I'm afraid I've been bad, what with the french fries and all.
I am tempted to eat everything in the house, I wonder if it's the weather that's making me feel that way.
BK, here is a website of Diane Franklin...she had a fair career back in the 80s..quite a cutie...and just sooooo evil in SUMMER GIRL! Alas it is not on DVD or even VHS.

Scarlet Street is actually folding operations and will have only 2 more issues, so subscriptions are no more.
DR MBarnum - Well, I do have to make a Duane Reade run tomorrow, so I shall see if I can find that Bollywood movie that DR Rodzinksi mentioned. -And, actually, I believe I have a $5.00-off Duane Reade coupon to use up too, so... ;)
Glad you dig KISS KISS a bit more, Matt. I had a good time with that.
I never hear you mention WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT in the Doris Day pantheon, but I quite like that too.
Well, then that's only going to leave Video Watchdog, and, unless the Bava book is never shipped and old Timmy has to refund all of us money, Timbo would rather die than not be the only genre magazine left.
OOHH!!! I do remember her from a bunch of TV movies and after school specials too (I believe). She really was quite prolific during the 80's.
I would love a copy of this issue. How do I get one?

Wonder if she ever chilled with the East Side Kids.
Did you get your cabinets done, Laura?
