Thanks, DR Edi!

Hope the news you've heard turns out to be just a nasty rumor.

Because I get VERY upset:

Rodzinski (remember him) would know the Ames Brothers' song
"Chew Chew Chew (I'm in love with Chew)".

Well, my day as an angel is about to end.  Maybe I'll get home in time to greet a few trick or treaters - the brave ones who think it's worth it to hike up our steep driveway!

Bye for now.

Recruiters have been going to the Pittsburgh school campuses.  Craig interviewed for a government job he found interesting.  They liked him and he had a follow-up phone interview.  Now he has been invited to DC, where the job is, for another interview.:D  This is going much faster than he expected.  It would be great to know he has a job waiting for him.

It sometimes take us a long time to catch up..

We watched "Casino Royale" last night.  IMHO - the best Bond movie since "From Russia With Love" - (they gradually became sillier).

And thank you once again to DR Jose for providing me with the song from the movie.  (Madonna's is still the worst of any Bond theme. I even prefer the Garbage song and the A-Ha etc).

One of my favourite Bond themes is "Never Say Never Again". I suspect DR JMK would liek that one too.

On another note, BRASS DIVA the first of two new Ethel Merman bios arrived today.  The author can't even get the facts about Mme du Barry, mistress of Louis XV, correct.  This bodes ill.

I really like this novel I'm reading. It's quite funny.

I was visiting a longtime friend of mine who had to undergo bypass (5) surgery, and thankfully, everything went well and he was doing great in his "recovery rehab" hospital.  He actually looked better than he has the past year or so.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I managed to run down to 890 Broadway to pick up my rehearsal score for White Christma - I'll be playing a few days of rehearsal for the Boston company... Grab some lunch at 'wichcraft (chicken salad, roasted tomatoes, pickled red onions and frisee on multigrain bread)... And get my hair cut at Chelsea Barbers.

Of course, "due to an earlier incident" there were no C trains running uptown... And, of course, no announcement was made about that until after two(!) E trains had gone by.  And, of course, by the time the next E train came by, it was packed.  However, I was able to transfer over to a still somewhat packed A train at 42nd, and then over to a non-packed C train at 59th.  Whew!

I don't want to call him while I'm puny.  I want to get well to go out with him on Thursday night.

Pie would be good, too. Or cobbler.  And ice cream.

Stick to the Chocolate cake, Carrot cake usually has a higher fat content than any other.  It is SO not healthy.

DR elmore - Artie's has Birthday Cake among their dessert offerings.

*And if you need anything delivered, I could make a run up to your place a little before 8:00 - I have a coaching in midtown from 6:30-7:30.  Just give me a call if there's anything you need (antacids, aspirin, cake, cookies, gelato, etc.).

DR Jose, I don't want to see you till I'm healthy, but a Levain oatmeal raisin cookie would sure perk up my spirits.  What's run away with my mind?

Maybe he could slip one under the door?

Or considering the season, he could leave a bag, ring your bell, and run like crazy. Sort of like a Trick With Treat.

Glad I came home. Callie really is much better in person than in my mind. I keep picturing the worst.  She was waiting for food when I came home and is sitting in the window enjoying the breeze.

I'm starting to think she may have hurt her leg yesterday....all these doom and gloom thoughts are hopefully for naught.
