Good morning.  Today seems a bit odd.  It's very quiet, and it's almost 9:00.  It's also quite foggy.

I rest my case.

LOL, DR Matthew, quoting yourself isn't usually considered corroboration

Well, time for bed.  I didn't get some things accomplished today that I really needed to get done.  I have blocked out most of the day tomorrow to sit in my office and write.  The hard part is ignoring the phone and letting it go to the answering machine..

Did a nice interview this evening with actor Steven Marlo (aka Morris Miller), star of STAKEOUT ON DOPE STREET and THE YOUNG CAPTIVES...he made a career out of playing gangsters, hoods, and assorted bad guys in movies and tv and later, in the 1970s, worked as a dialogue coach.

He also has several Broadway credits.

I am so puzzled: I've been seeing reviews lately on the  wonderful 1981 Beineix film DIVA, which I've owned forever. This morning on the Arts channel, I caught a clip of Wilhelminia Fernandez singing the big aria frpom LA WALLY, and I got the impression there's a new release of the film on DVD.  Why can't I find anything on this?

'cause you didn't look?

AMAZON second-sellers offer two different DVD versions:

Ancho Bay
June 12, 2001

Fox Lorber
November 19, 1997

Both are in the $50 and up price range.

Great news, BK.

Here's the Chance Theatre's press release announcing BRAIN as part of its season (it's in pdf format)

I wonder if bk read:

Quote
The Chance Theater’s 2008 season will be presented in four slots of two shows running in repertory- that is: two shows on the same
stage at different times and days
.

BKs favorite scenario - dueling sound/light divas!

5.6 Earthquake just happened.  Epicenter was about 5 miles or so away from us.  We're fine.  Otto knew it was coming and was acting weird.  DP ran to the door way as we felt the apartment building shake and sway.  All is well now.  A little freaky, but over. (for now)

And this is the Internet's version of great-visuals for the quake:

I'll corroborate.

I was nearly nodding in my rocker at 8:05 p.m. when the "rolling" started...and it came in waves.  I thought it would end well before it actually did.

It was not as jolting, IMO, as others I've feltl, but the magnitude was certainly the strongest I've experienced here since I moved her in 1993.

Nothing amiss, either.  I heard some creaking.  But by and large, that was it here in Oakland.

I, too, was sorry to read about Robert Goulet's passing.  He was much too young, at 73.

It's time this boy was in bed.

That's not a euphemism.
