We had a fun day yesterday; our niece met us and met firneds form the Randy Newman list, which I abandoned when there were too many flame wars, but made alot of friends there that I still keep. over a nice long lunch at Chan Dara. Then to our niece's to see her place. Our plans with Julie Dash feel through because she was tending to a sick friend, and so we went on to our meeting at The Grove with the big time producer. He's not only working on CAPTAIN AMERICA, but Marvel has a whole series of films they're bringing out: IRON MAN II, THE AVENGER(S?), and some other comic super heros, so it sounds like he would be busy.
The story that is going to be the subject of the doc is fascinating and he wants to make a feature film of it as well, so he invited the writer of the feature to pitch it to me, and the book it's based on is supposed to be waiting for me when I get home. It was a very long meeting up in the Barnes and Noble coffee shop, and then the producer had to pack to fly to England tomorrow. Apparently a lot of these superhero films are made at Pinewood.
It looks like the schedule of this doc will work out to happen after the baseball film. I hope it can work around THE CLOSER because this will be shoestring even with the parties involved and I need to make some $$$!
After the meeting we ran some errands. DH wasn't hungry since he'd had a big lunch, so by the time he was ready for dinner it was almost 10 so we ended up taking fast food back to our room and I passed out shortly after. It's been a tiring but fun trip, like our trips always are. One day we will go somewhere just to relax, but will probably end up being really bored!
I did get to pick the fast food place, which was my beloved Koo-Koo-Roo.
