I perfectly understand your point of view, DR Ben. Everyone has different interests, hobbies, even collecting or not collecting things. What would thrill me would be met by indifference by most. That's the name of the beast called human beings.

If everyone were interested in the SAME thing, EBAY would not need a search function.  ;D

I didn't know about Don Adams before checking on here, and I'm very sad indeed. SOme of my happiest moments were spent laughing at his antics on Saturday nights watching GET SMART on NBC. Never quite seemed to work once it moved over to CBS on Fridays.

Vixmom, it is just the backsplash.  I'm just wishing all our problems to be this minor.

LAW & ORDER: CI always raises itself a notch when arch criminal Nicole Wallace (Olivia D'Abo) is on the scene. She and Vincent D'Onofrio have a very visceral combustion between them that always makes the episodes where she appears quite memorable. Last night's was no exception.

Of course, I suspect the rest of the country was watching DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (so was I), but folks who didn't record it will enjoy it when the rerun comes around.

Never give up on the trivia contest - I must say, many people have gotten much more difficult questions than this.

No one has used the word of the day - too hard, too?

Had a lovely brunch with Mr. Kevin Spirtas, and am now awaiting the arrival of my set designer.

Have that lovely slate of comedies to watch tonight in addition to CSI: MIAMI/MEDIUM. Monday is a very good TV night.

Heck, except for Saturday, every night has something of worth to watch and some nights have an embarrassment of riches.

DR Jose: Have a loverly date.

Hey! If I can get some comps to the Met in the next couple of weeks, you wanna go? Anything in particular you'd like to see? I'm curious about ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, but my heart isn't set on it...

Let me know.

I'd love to see ARIADNE.  I had to turn down an invitation to the dress of FALSTAFF, my fave Verdi opera, last week, since I was not in Manhattan!

And now she's having popcorn. Aren't you glad I'm updating you on everything the Carrot-Stick Girl is eating? Is it annoying? I bet it's not as annoying as sitting right across from her while she eats this stuff!!

They're kinda like DRMattH's comments on his day:  a bit here, a bit there . . .

I just filled the gas tank of my brother's car, which was 3/4 empty:  $40.00 at $2.89 a gallon.  When I started driving gas was $0.35 a gallon.  Of course, I had to crank it before it would go.  OK, DRTCB, run with it!

Wow...Norbert was a stocky boy in high school, too! It gives me hope. However, he must have really starved himself during LAST FIVE YEARS. During the shirtless scene, he was pretty well defined.... Now he's Ruprecht with the beer belly.

Still, he's awfully cute and fun to watch.

I would also like to add the films of Jacques Tati to our list of most excellent french films.

There are also some very good  film from Quebec, but I think the Parasians would say that Quebec French isn;'t French,

Here are a few

Jesus Of Montreal
Kamarouska
Decline of the (something or other)

Norbert was my favorite WIN at the last Tony Awards ceremony.  What a great showcase he had with that song, too!

After seeing him in DRS, it was easy to see why he won (in addition to talent). He's SO adorable in his scheming. Exactly in the same way that Robert Morse got away with murder and retained the audience's sympathy in HOW TO SUCCEED.

"The Chorus" and "The Triplets of Belville" are my favourite French films of recent vintage.
