There are a bunch of photos from a Klamath Falls, Oregon, movie theatre up on EBAY.....if anyone remembers this place...I guess it's the Tower Theatre.

DS Betsy was just in KF last week on a business trip (or so she told me  ;D).  She was amazed to look up from the diner they were having lunch in to see an historic old building next door to them named Semon Hall.  Semon is DS Betsy's maiden name.

I miss the FOOD so much.  I took it so much  for granted.  I'd KILL for a real (make that REAL) pizza Margherita!

We had some of the best food of our lives in Rome, including a pizza with an egg in the middle, broccoli rabe and champagne gelato.

We at a Romano's Macaroni Grill this evening and all had very good food, though after having tried Betsy's mushroom ravioli, I wish I would have gotten that rather than the pizza I had.

I was a kid when my parents decided to "mature" me by giving me a Eurrail pass and a summer in Europe (my sister was living in Germany so I had family "nearby").  I went to Rome by myself and I remember I had an American Express gift certificate for some outdoor restaurant right by the Forum.  The only thing my certificate would cover was something on the menu that looked quite exotic and sounded spectacular in Italian.  When they brought it out, it was good ol' mac 'n' cheese.   ;D

Yes, I probably posted a photo of a killdeer a couple days ago. I know I took one, so I probably posted it.

Good God, you know how to LIVE! Did you chose the ingredients yourself?

It's one of their own Concrete Creations.  However, since today's featured frozen custard flavor was Coconut Caramel, I was very tempted to come up with my own.  Next time...

*And tomorrow's flavor is Fluffer Nutter!

Since I'll be spending the better part of tomorrow morning doing my tax returns, I may be late getting on-line.

Heading down now to go to bed to save up some energy for tomorrow.

Good night!

Cilla, I sure hope that wasn't your friend Squirrel that you buried today  :-[

When I worked on the 5th floor of the Justice bldg we had a squirrel who would come up to the window of one of the offices and knock on it each morning. That was our cue to feed him some peanuts! He came by every day for a year and then suddenly he never came back again. We were all very sad.

Those are macarons from Madeleine Patisserie.  Madeleines are more "little cakes".

Time for another Indian delight! This one is a Bollywood film, and it is a comedy about an Indian gal who was born and raised in London whose parents decide to arrange a marriage between her and a Punjabi guy, much to her dismay. It was a huge hit last year. NAMASTE LONDON starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif...I am about 1/2 hour into it and it is very funny!

And the fact that the film features these two actors in lead roles has NOTHING to do with why I chose to watch this film......

But it does have EVERYTHING to do with why this film will be pleasantly seared into my brain forever!  ;D

Can you imagine, folks were getting annoyed with me for looking at everything -- especially that last butterfly (bordered patch, I believe).

I think you're ready for a graduate course: try "Back Off - Bitch!"

Back from the build, a few cheesy potatoes from Gelson's, and watching a motion picture on DVD.  I'm really, really tired.  So, I'l just sit here like so much fish.

Just got a wonderful fan letter via e-mail re Nudie Musical.  Some guy who grew up loving the film - always quoting its lines, singing the songs, etc.  Very sweet.  He's now a comedy writer in Canada and he sort of implies it was partially the film that led him there (to writing - not to Canada).

Everything tonight was great.  It couldn't have gone better.  Our mock protest was a  big hit, there was a huge turnout at the art center,  the gift shop wants me to sell my hats there (I've been talking to Paul about that) and the after party was still going when I left around midnight.

I took about 120 photos!   Half way through the opening, the curator came up to me and handed me his card. He said that their official photographer was away and he wondered if he could get a copy of my photos.   Who knows, maybe this could lead to something...

It is now time for me to finish the Bollywood movie I began last night, but was too tired to finish...actually it isn't a Bollywood film as it is not in Hindi and was not filmed in Bombay...it is in Bengali and was filmed in Calcutta which is one of the two centers of Bengal cinema..those filmed in Dhaka are referred to as Dhallywood....

Not to be confused with:

Don't worry...that's not me.  My shoes are black.

;)

I'd love to have those, though.  I'm sure that they'd be a LOT better than my black shoes. :P
