While walking around today, there was man out on 34th Street with a table full of DVDs, some new, some used.  "Any 2 Discs, $10".  -The single price was $7.00.  Well, most of the titles were direct-to-videos, or should-have-been-direct-to-videos.  However, he also had a few boxed sets.  Among that selection were the multi-disc editions of the "Lord of the Rings" movies - which he was selling for $15 each, and some of the John Ford Collection boxes - also for $15 each (for 5 movies!).  -And they were still in their shrink-wrap, and some had cut-out stickers on them from Border's too.  Hmm...

I guess he could tell that I was looking at them a bit "suspiciously", because he eventually spoke up, "Those are the real deal.  I have a friend who always gets extra review and promotional copies."  Hmm...  I may have to check his selection next week.

Any DR need to fill out their John Ford movie collection? ;)

Today, I watched two episodes of "Reaper" and enjoyed them.  I have five left to view.  Right now, I'm watching "Cashmere Mafia" and I sort of enjoy it, but I don't think it'll be a regular view for me.  I never watched "Sex and the City."

Didn't get to PIGSKIN PARADE, but maybe I will when my buddy James and I watch DREAM GIRLS (which I forgot to take with me last week when we were supposed to watch it at his house)...we can have a double feature.

So what did you watch instead last week?  Gladiator movies?

Remember... It was your neighbor's husband you had that sordid dream(s) of a few weeks ago.  Not your neighbor.  I suspect if you dreamed of a "Big Busted Dream Girl", it was more like a nightmare.

Well, I hate to do this (no really, I do!), but I'm turning in.  I want to get to work early and I need to get to bed early.

Goodnight, all!

Did Inot even notice I had reached a milestone?    Were I only as wordsome as Ron?   I could be kintg of the forest by now!   You notice Idid not say "verbose." ;)

"Wordsome" is fine, DR Kerry.

You had a "Get out of Snark" pass, and now you've used it.

After this, you're fair game!

So instead of a Bollywood movie (not that I don't have some others I can watch...it was just that I couldn't seem to choose one that fit my mood) I will watch one of my Christmas presents from DR Elmore3003...PIGSKIN PARADE!  ;D

"I kin sang...ya wanna hear me?"

Tonight, following DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, I watched the CBS television version of APPLAUSE featuring Lauren Bacall.
Was that really Larry Hagman's singing voice, or was he dubbed?
Penny Fuller was tremendous.
Bonnie Franklin and Lee Roy Reams were absent, but, Harvey Evans was cute as a button in the Reams role.
Lauren Bacall WAS Margot.  Brilliantly.

Where does one find a copy of this wonder?

I am sorry I was not here during the past two pages of posts to defend myself.  :)

But there has been dirty work afoot, most assuredly.

Oh, the barbs!

Oh, go find that Burger King icon and give him back his crown and doublet.
