DR TCB - so sorry to hear about your medical situation.

Hoping that they - or at least some of the symptoms - are resolved quickly.

I have been listening to the new Sweeney soundtrack.  [And yes, in this case, is IS a soundtrack!  ;) ].  I am undecided.  I guess I need more information - I'll need the visuals to go with the vocals to see how I feel about them.

Doesn't staying someplace so atmospheric and having--ahem!--a bit of free time on your hands make you feel like writing a mystery??

Your friend Minette Walters would have a rotting corpse floating on the pond.

Raining here, and a bit warmer.  Perhaps some of the solid ice ruts all around will start to dissipate.

I was sorry to read that The Drowsy Chaperone will be closing 12/30.  Did Cindy Williams ever get to go into the show?

From this side of the world all those TCB numbers are sixes! Devilish.

The set for Mahagonny had a Road Route marker "666" hanging over the town.

For supper, we're gonna have ham sammiches and tater salad.

And for dee-sert, we're having "chocolate dee-light".

We southerners have simple tastes, at times.

Well, it depends:

Is the ham sliced from a roast at home - + 10 points.
Is the ham fresh sliced from a deli = +5 points
Is the ham a "sliced ham" package from a supermarket = +2 points
Was the ham canned - try peanut butter!

Note: a proper ham sandwich needs both mustard and mayo!

A question for ASK BK day:

When you are looking at a DVD to rent or buy, or a movie to watch....what is the ONE actor/actress' name that makes you reject even the idea of seeing said DVD?

???????  Please elaborate.  I thought iTunes was a "pay" feature where you could "buy" stuff to download.

I already own the stuff I want to download.

Ron, you don't need to buy anything from iTunes, but you can, if you want.  You can use it just to import your own CDs into/onto your iPod.  If you use it only for that, it's totally free.

Ray Walston...it is the one thing that has kept me from even opening my DVD of SOUTH PACIFIC...even though I know Ken Clark has some scenes sans shirt.

I think that's the Hindu musical "Habib" that you are remembering.

I got a very nice e-mail from someone who saw my letter to the editor of FILMFARE magazine (Sort of like India's People magazine). He is evidently the other American reader of the magazine. LOL!

I am watching MR BROOKS with Mr Kevin Costner.  It is okay.  It is set in Portland Oregon, but was filmed in Louisiana.....so I guess the beautiful home exterior/interiors were NOT filmed in Portland.

All of Ken Clark's scenes in SOUTH PACIFIC include Mr Walston.

And both come off beautifully in the "roadshow version" on DVD #2.  It's the first time I ever saw the film in which Walston didn't suck as Billis.
