Here's my bow-tie picture - taken about 10 years ago.

Workers quit early today, about an hour ago.

I'm guessing you aren't complaining.

I've never seen the earlier Liberace movie.  Is that available?  Also should acquire SINCERELY YOURS from the Warner Archive.  while I remember seeing that one on afternoon television as a kid, I don't actually recall anything about it.

Yes, Amazon has it available.

I need to wash the dishes, all of them as the dishwasher broke this week.  Also our DVD player & DVR in our guest room. ???

We canceled DirecTV in that room.  If we can't get the DVD player to work that will also go.  We used to do most of our tv and movie viewing in there until we got a nicer tv and a Blue-ray player for our bedroom.  Now is really is a waste of money to replace these in a room that is rarely used anymore.

DR Jane, we no longer have a dishwasher, and I miss it dearly.

My DH's mother never had one - still doesn't - and she claims it strengthened their marriage - they worked out what they needed to each night after dinner over the dishes.    :)

We don't have a dishwasher either and I don't feel like I'm missing anything. If the choice was between a dishwasher and a washer and dryer, no contest, the washer dryer!

It's easier to just wash the dishes as they are used instead of waiting to run a dishwasher (as we do when we go to Anthony's parents on Long Island).

;)   I'll take the dishwasher, especially since I mostly do them alone.  During the summer the sun shines right into the sink in the evening & I don't want to stand there until close to 7:00 which is why I still haven't done them.  I'm keeping them up though so there isn't much to do right now.
