Sorry, I'm not letting go of this.  I'm just speaking from experience.  Please make sure someone, preferably a plumber (speak to the house inspector), makes sure it is not the toilet causing the problem.  Do ask how old the toilets are.  Even if the leak isn't from the toilet you might, considering the condition of said toilet, might want to replace it.

Thanks for the info.  I'll see if I can find out about it.

Just got back from delivering my aunt to the local sleep analysis center, where she has to spend the night hooked up to 18 wires.  I have to retrieve her at 6:45am tomorrow, take her home, and proceed to Columbus, OH, where I have a meeting that starts at 10:30.

DR George - Sounds like the inspection went as well as could be expected.

~~~Sleep Vibes for Your Aunt!!~~~
My friend Margo had to go through a sleep apnea test and could barely get to sleep with all the wires and things that they had to hook up to her.
Of course (about the inspection), it could've gone better if the guy didn't find any problems because there weren't any. ::)
George, true, however, the reason the condo didn’t sell could have been due to the current owners not fixing that water damage in the first place…..so it worked to your advantage.
CP-Speaking of bad things turning out for the good…..how nice for the lovely wife to have needed eye surgery.
That is entirely possible.  I hadn't thought of that.
George, thanks for the sleep vibes for my aunt.  She was pretty strung out about this test.
After my own sleepless night last night, I'm going to try to do better tonight.
Goodnight, all!
Cillaliz-Sleep well & bat free tonight.
Thanks Jane, so far so good. I'm still a little wary that there may have been a bat or two sealed in....but no sound in the walls so far and the cats have been staring out the window instead of at the walls so that's good news.
DR Cillaliz, you might consider putting up bat houses, so the bats will have a place to roost.
Good evening, fellow Dear Readers. Today DH and I drove up north to try for the third time to drive the Rim Road along the Mogollon Rim, which he says is the prettiest place in Arizona. The first time we tried, there were fires. The second time there were BIG thunderstorms. Today was a beautiful day -- not dry enough for fires, no clouds to bring a storm. Everything was PERFECT.
Until there was a big BOOM and our front tire exploded.
Here is the tire shop we visited to get the tired replaced:
We have decided that it is not in the stars for me to see the most beautiful place in Arizona.
DR Laura sorry you can't seem to get to the Mogollon Rim, at least to where you want to go. It is a very beautiful area.
I second the recommendation of MR. BLANDINGS BUILDS HIS DREAM HOUSE. It's enjoyably painful to see one catastrophe after another befall poor Cary and Myrna.
I watched a few more WILL & GARCE episodes from the Season 5 package.
A word of caution to those who might have this set. If you choose individual episodes, understand that there are more than three or four per disc. There is a small marker at the bottom of the "episode selection" screen on each disc that takes you to a second screen of episode titles. I missed this when viewing the first two discs, so I had to go back and catch up with some episodes I hadn't gotten to while watching those first two discs.
BONES has introduced a new boss for Temprence and her team this season, and I do not like her AT ALL. I read that she's in six episodes (thus far; that may be all that have been filmed), and I'm hoping the producers likewise saw something there they didn't like and ended her contract. I find her presence intrusive, and the conflict she has with the leading character distracts me from paying attention to the evidence as they uncover it.
Tonight's show had some very surprising twists though based on the Scott Peterson case.
JUSTICE had an absorbing case, too. The last scene of this show always shows the crime exactly as it happened rather than the way it is portrayed to the jury during the show. There was one very surprising thing that happened in the actual scene of the crime that gave the episode a nice bit of irony.
And I finally remembered to watch PROJECT RUNWAY "live" instead of having to find a convenient rerun.
I have to say that the person whose dress was judged second worst was actually my least favorite.
I was sorry to see tonight's loser leave.
Uli's dress was my favorite tonight.
