Here is a recipe for the best creamed corn ever.  Who will be the first hainsie/kimlet to make it this very day?

2 pkg (10oz each) frozen kernal corn - cooked in water and drained
8oz (1/2 pint) whipping cream
8oz (1 cup) homogenized milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Accent
6 tsp. sugar
pinch of white or cayenne pepper (I use cayenne)
3 tbs. melted butter
2 rounded tbs. flour

Combine all ingredients except the last two in pan and bring to a boil.  Simmer 5 minutes.  Blend butter with flour.  Add to corn.  Mix well to avoid lumps and remove from heat.  The End.

I got a kick out of your "The End".   When I was a little girl, that was how I signed all of my letters.  I guess I thought you needed to know I was finished.  :)

I did a copy/paste of the receipe into my Cook 'n software.

Well, I can't drive so I couldn't hit the stores at 4 AM even if I wanted to. Which I would not.  I am going to try to get a few items online.  Guess I will set the alarm for Midnight so I can be first on the sites to get what I want before it sells out.  Gotta love the parking and the fact I can shop in my PJ's.

Girl Next Door punchline department:  just went into the "backstage" area of DVD Talk and saw that the Hefner series GirlS Next Door just released a DVD, so I'll bet the illiterati were accessing my review thinking it was that one. ;D

Could be....and were THEY surprised!  ;D

Hmmmm....seems it was a quartet with Delia Russell also in the line up.  Since Jane Russell had a chapel in her home and put on a robe every Sunday night and conducted services, she is referred to by Time magazine as a non-Denominational Protestant....

And of course, a hit record on Coral was the result....  ;D

It's an unseasonably mild day here today. I've been talking to a lot of my neighbors.

BTW, this DR was less than enchanted with ENCHANTED, but I don't wish to spoil it for those of you who loved it or who have yet to see it. I did like the score very much--brilliant at times--and I enjoyed Timothy Spall. He's an actor I don't see often, but who has done a fine job of each role in which I have seen him. I enjoyed THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X much more.

Remind me to tell you about the time I dated someone who could have been easily nick-named "the turkey."

I have me some cookin' to do.

I've got a couple of turkey breasts (deboned & skinless) to cook, plus some dressing and some fresh brussels sprouts (yummy!).
