Good Evening!

Hmm... I've been napping on and off for the past few hours, but I'm trying to be more "off" than "on" so that I don't end up not being able to sleep later on tonight.  -Although, if that stupid-ass car alarm ends up going off again tonight, well...  -Hmmm... Maybe that's why I'm so "nap-py" now?  Hmm...

You would drive that far to see me-how sweet :)

I hate to drive any distance at all & it seems really far to me.

It may be closer than Oregon, from what I hear Ashland is far nicer than North Chicago.  It will be hard on Bryan until he can relocate to the Chicago in two years.  I've read some student chat rooms & they say it is easy to study when there isn't much to do. ;D

I shall be signing off for the evening. A little more baking and tv viewing yet to be done and then I am off to bed.

A little more baking

But you can't eat the results!    :(

Still, it sounds like an amazing and worthwhile project.   :)

DR JoseSPiano - both of those upcoming recitals should be very special.   Lucky you!   :)

And having met him briefly backstage the other night, I can say he's also a very nice man.  -Although, the way they've shaped his moustache for the production, does not really add to his handsome-ness, imho.  ;)

DRs Singdaw, Jose, Elmore, FJL, et al - reading that NYT article and a lot of the other glowing press about South Pacific has me (again) pondering a trip to NYC for DH Richard and myself.  I'm thinkin' either mid-August or over Labor Day weekend.  Any insights?

DR Ginny - others would know better than I.  I believe it has been semi-officially announced that SP is being transformed into an open-ended run, though I have no idea how long the original revival cast members will be staying.

Book your hotel rooms now!  ;D

*Although, I've been looking into a hotel room for my birthday weekend, and I've come across some pretty good rates on the East Side.

The "open-ended" run is now Official.  From what I understand, everyone is contracted for the usual six-month contract period, and then it's just a matter of who renews and who doesn't.  However, I know that some of the cast members have other projects already lined up, so...  -I know that Paul Szot has a few opera engagements coming up later this year, and I wonder how he's going to juggle those dates/engagements.

For a number of years now I’ve been looking to change my primary physician, not desperate to so I took my time.  Keith’s first primary physician here, whom he thought was great, left private practice.  Since then he had one ok physician but he hated the office, followed by one very mediocre doctor.

Last year we went together & interviewed a very nice, new to town, internist & transferred our records.    In December I had my first physical with her and was very pleased.  Fortunately Keith had not gotten around to it.  Friday we received a letter stating she is leaving private practice & we need to find new physicians again.

I just opened yesterday’s mail to find a letter stating my gynecologist is going on sabbatical for a year.  I don’t really know if she is returning as the name of the practice is changing & the other physician there is leaving.  At least a new physician will be joining the office. I had better call tomorrow & get on her list before everyone else does.

DR JANE - doing okay, thanks for asking....as the days go by, you know.  Sounds like you've got some animal drama going on in your family yourself!  Thoughts with you!

Auditions today were not so hot - but the BIG night is always Monday, so I expect she will get plenty of people.  Lots of ensemble possibilities today, but not much in the LEAD category even for hillbilly singers.

Sounds like BRAIN FROM PLANET EX is moving along quite well....

Just In Time by Irving Berlin?

Does this mean Comden, Green & Styne wrote Alexander's Ragtime Band?

We always decorate Clark and Gable our gargoyles at the World of Wisdom.

It is NOT my birthday, but I was tired of looking at my old avatar, and DR GEORGE was kind enough to make this for me last week.  ;D
