Well, you've read the notes, the notes had dazzling choreography, and now it is time for you to post until the choreographed cows come home.

Last night's last performance of Side Show was good...but there a couple of people who screwed up their lyrics when they'd never screwed up their lyrics before.  Interesting.  Otherwise, the audience really loved the show.  Another (genuine) standing ovation. :) My friend Misi (that's her full, legal name) was there!  She used to be a stage manager and stage managed a lot for Capital Playhouse.  I hadn't seen her since sometime last year.

AND I didn't find this out until the show was almost over, but someone in the audience had a seizure during the second act and had to be taken out of the house and into the lobby!! :o As soon as the show ended and we were taking our bows, Jeff Kingsbury (the managing director of Capital Playhouse) went up to the people bowing on stage right and pointed over to stage left where I was.  I exited left as usual, but it turns out that everyone had to exit stage left, which was not usual.  When we got off stage, Jeff made an announcement that the audience had to leave by the hallway that lead out to the back of the theater and into an alley way, and not through the lobby.  After they all left, I got the stuff that I was taking home and put them in my car.  There was an ambulance and another emergency vehicle parked outside the front of the theater!  We were told that the person who had the seizure was going to be fine, but it was certainly scary for a few moments.

After that was all done with, everyone helped strike the set...yes, me included. ;) It took a couple of hours, but since they have their own storage right there (the theater is actually a converted warehouse), we didn't have to load everything in trucks and haul them somewhere else.  That was nice.  When I left, I got me something to eat (everyone seemed to go their separate ways) and now I'm at home!  I have absolutely NO plans to do ANYTHING today except stay home, feed my cat and watch TV!! :D And that's what I intend to do. :)

I'm stil copying band parts.

Later!

And while I was posting DRs Arnold Brockman and td beat me to being the first today.  What the hell?

I was very busy all day yesterday with house cleaning (still haven't gotten to those books, DR Jane), cooking and responding to an unseemly amount of emails.  The emails were quite important, which seems truly odd to me, since usually I have virtually NO EMAILS on Saturdays as a rule. . .
I didn't even watch a movie yesterday, but mum watched both TAMMY TELL ME TRUE and TAMMY AND THE DOCTOR while I was in the next room.
Does anyone know if Sandra Dee did her own singing in BOTH movies?  I have a feeling that she used a voice double in TAMMY AND THE DOCTOR. . .

DRtd - folks on the Sandra Dee board insist that Dee sang in both films, and there is certainly no credit anywhere on the internet for anyone else being her voice - my guess would be, however, that she had some help particularly in Tammy and the Doctor.

So, so far I've ascertained that the site was down at least five hours.  I'm furious about it, and naturally they have not given me a reason for the problem (what else is new) but when I write them to document the down time and get credit for the lost hours I'm going to demand an explanation and if I don't get one I'm moving to a different webhost.  I pay too much damn money for their "we deal in customer service" trademark sentence to not have the courtesy of an answer.

Hi all!  I also couldn't get on the board this morning.  I was getting worried.

I had to leave very quickly last night because of a storm.  I didn't know one was around until I heard the first crack of lightning and thunder.

No one could get on the site - it was completely down - I'm sure their server had a problem, but their problems are really annoying me.

I wanted to take the dogs to the dog park but it's already looking like it might start any moment.

I'm at rehearsal, watching the end of act one.  There were fresh croissants upon our arrival.  I do not like croissants, fresh or otherwise, but I ate one anyway.
