sorry to hear about your car, BK. I recently priced getting a newer Volvo. It would cost me my 2001 plus $10K to get a used, but newer car. I'm keeping mine instead. but mine runs fine and I don't drive as much as you do.

My DH has been working at Pike's Peak this week and is supposed to fly home this afternoon. I hope the heavy winds there will let him take off!

All this talk of wind reminds me of a product I saw in the drugstore in the UK. Maybe it's something like Bean-o or Gas-X or something, but it was for the treatment of "trapped winds".

I pictured some oboes and clarinets locked in an orchestra pit!

Dr. Checroun

DR MBarnum should be developing tendonitis as we speak.  Are there any physique studies in the doctor's web bio?

I'm listening to Carly Simon right now. She's the substitute host for Elaine Paige on BBC Radio 2 this week.

I'm heading out to Long Island after work. We will be there until Sunday. Our return date to the city is predicted to be full of rain, cold and possible SNOW!!! Ugh.

We won't be watching or listening to much of anything this weekend. We will be busy with shopping and visiting. We will be picking up our copy of the final season of Slings and Arrows. Rose has recorded the shows for us and we will watch them in the city.

Speaking of Weill, right now I'm listening to the title song from Lost in the Stars.

To me, Elaine always comes out as "wacky" on that show! ???

HE:   Are you fond of climbing, dear?
         Kindly tell me if so
SHE: Yes, I'm fond of climbing, dear
         But in the morning, no
HE:   Have you tried Pike's Peak, my dear?
         Kindly tell me if so
SHE: Yes, I've tried Pike's Peak, my dear
         But in the morning, no
         When the maid says "Madame,
Wake 'em up and make 'em scram"
That's the time when I'm in low
HE:    Have you tried Point comfort, dear
          Kindly tell me if so
SHE:  Yes, I've tried Point Comfort, dear
But in the morning, no no no no no

I think that actually Oslo is the farthest north of the cities in France, which makes my family French, instead of Norwegian!  Thank goodness the woman could cook.

Oslo and so fast too!

I am not illegally posting from work this morning (as some might assume), but I am home sick crippled today.  My back, which has been bothering me all week, finally decided to go out (without me).  At the moment, I am sitting; which is the lesser of all the evils while I wait for the musclerelaxers to kick in, so that I can go back to bed.

Oh my! Get well soon, you lusty man! :-*

Of course, once the musclerelaxers kick in, I will feel so good that I will probably sit here posting the day away.

I am sure you're quite an expert about muscle relaxers!!! ;D

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from the pit of the Westport Country Playhouse...  Where, as of a couple of minutes, I will be spending a good chunk of time over the next couple of weeks.  I've been asked to play keyboards in the pit for the run of the show.  I'll observe in the pit tonight and tomorrow (Opening), and then play Sunday's matinee.

...And the hits just keep on coming!

So, I'm gonna catch up now on the past couple pages of posts, then post some myself, then spend some time getting to know the keyboard book.

Laters...

DR elmore3003, this is a favorite recording of mine.  :)

There are quite a lot of fans of Miss Dawn here at HHW!

She needs our vibes too right now!

DR singdaw - The Dawn Upshaw "Knoxville" is a favorite of many DRs here on HHW.  It's definitely one of my DIDs.

Ooops! Jose said it before me! Am I to be blamed?!

It has to do with the... cashregister, Horace! ;)
