Don't worry, Jrand, if you're at rehearsal I can assure you the partay will be going strong upon your return.

Thanks DR Panni: I will email you.

He has seen all the episodes.  But for some reason he loves them.  A dvd is really what he asked for Father's Day.

Although he knew it didn't exist.  So why did he ask? :)

Back from the pool. A lovely afternoon with sun bright and then ducking behind clouds so it never got hellish hot. A couple of rum and Cokes were just fine.

I think a wallet is a wonderful idea. Take a gander and see what kind of billfold your father prefers (single fold, double fold, money clip). My wallet is fairly new right now, but I'd still love it as a gift since they do wear out eventually and you'd already have your new one there waiting.

Because it DOES exist. Father knows best!

I have a question for all you experts.

I am looking for a gift for a 10 year anniversary.  I read that the gift for 10 years is aluminum/tin.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Oh, and DR Jane, how great that doggie is doing better.  I'm sure it will make your travelling much easier.

All those good Echo vibes must be working. :D  Traveling will definitely be easier.  Now, if only it would cool off for her.  Usually when I leave in the morning for a trip I let the sitter walk her. By 10:00 tomorrow it will be too hot so I will have to take her at 7:00.  I’m having my hair done this afternoon.  The purpose of doing so the afternoon before I leave is that is stays better and longer when the hairdresser does it.  Hiking and getting my hair all dusty before I leave was not in my original game plan.  Oh well, anything for our sweet little girl.

Well, gosh!

All this talk about numbers re: movies and Broadway.

And we have our OWN numbers game going on....will we hit 50,000 this afternoon, or tonight?

BK is, as of this writing, only 14 posts away from 5,000.

Am I obsessing?  :D

I'm eating cookies baked by our very own Sandra, and they are quite yummilicious.  They are chocolate chip cookies made with Cadbury chocolate bars.  I'll save some for our partay.

DR JENNIFER - I am taking my life in my hands suggesting yet ANOTHER gift idea....BUT....do a search for Noguchi - you can probably get a nice knock-off of one of his aluminum sculptures or buy some colored aluminum foil and make a nice mobile.

No one can have too many mobiles in there home....wow, I wonder if people in mobile homes have mobiles?

Leaving work now and going out to get a haircut (in fact, I just might get all of them cut) and to go shopping for a few birthday gifts.  I most probably will not be present when the numbers on the board turn, but I will be back to partay into the night.  I'll wear my dancing sneakers.

DR Jane, ever so glad Echo is doing better! I do hope you all never run into that evil mongrel Tyson again! And I am sure that your doggie sitter will be a fine companion for the pups while you are away...I would say that the sitter might spoil them but I have a feeling that the dogs would not notice any difference! LOL!

Well, DR MBarnum, in either case, be sure to take lots of pictures!!  -And you can just send them to me privately if you'd rather not take up bandwidth here on HHW. ;)

I would, of course, be more than happy to have a set of said pictures, as well! ;) ;D

(I wanted to get in at least one post before the big 50,000!)

I've just read about one of the strangest plans! (Stranger even than 9 from outer space.) In order to avoid the pirating of movies and yet allow Academy members to see Oscar contenders, the Academy is thinking of sending out Dolby DVD players which would play specially encrypted DVD screeners to EACH of the 6000 Academy members.

I'm adding my own post in the quest to reach the goal. For the question of the day: When I was little I used to love to make tents with sheets. But these aren't the typical little kid tents. My tents would take up entire rooms and often spilled out into others. My parents thought I was nuts and I usually didn't stop until I ran out of sheets. I would leave them up for at least a week. Even my top bunk of my bunk beds was contained in the tent. I didn't have people come over much when I was younger so no one besides my family really saw them, but I was really creative. I always wonder with how small I was at the time, how I got all the sheets hung up as high as I did.
