I'm sure you meant nothing personal in that comment, but I assure you MattH has never been reluctant to admit when he has been wrong..  Would that more folks would admit to it when it's obvious they have been.

MattH is not online right now and probably doesn't know he's being discussed.

He's obviously mistaken Mr. Callan for another actor...or, like me, he's misremembered.

That would be correct - I meant nothing personal - hence the SMILEY FACE.   I should think the Veronica Mars line would have clued you in.  And MattH was most assuredly online for that last volley of postings.

Thanks Ben.  I will pass on the links.

MBarnum-Do you mean Sherlock is big or a dog in the stories.

Matt H-Sherlock still has a lot of growing to do, possible up to 50 more pounds of growing.  Only time will tell.

Edi-It is great fun to romp in the snow with him.  I had some great photo ops, but every time I knelt down to take a picture he ran and jumped on top of me.  You have a lovely collection of birds in your yard.

Jane - it looks like you and Sherlock were having a great time in the snow!

Speaking of birds, the Dayton International Peace Museum has a pair of doves that they rescued and that fly freely throughout the building.

Michael Callan died?  Is that why I haven't seen him at the last two Ray Courts shows?  He wasn't THAT young.  Or are you thinking of someone else?

There was a singer named Michael Calle[/i]n[/url] who died in 1993, but I don't think that that's who you're thinking of, at all.

He used to sing with an a cappella group called The Flirtations and they were fabulous!  I saw The Flirts (as they were known) here in Olympia, shortly after Michael left the group for health reasons, but before he died.  The group also was in the movie "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks and Antonio Banderas during the birthday party scene.

I have a great picture of my aunt's Bernese when he was a puppy, grabbing and tugging on the camera strap as I was taking his picture. If I can find it in this mess I'll post it. He was so cute!

I just learned some new birds. I'll have to look them up in my bird book!

Inca dove...another name for pigeon out west? :-)

Thanks, DR Laura!

Mucho, mucho apologies to Michael Callan. I truly thought he died and died a long time ago. I don't have a clue who I've gotten him mixed up with. I'm really shocked (but throughly delighted) to read that he is still among us.

I may have seen the name and equated him in my mind with the actor. That's the only explanation I can think of.

An inca dove is a small desert dove, smaller than a mourning dove.

Yes, actor Michael Callan was alive that last time I saw him.

Nick Adams was alive the last time I saw him, too.   But that was in the Winter of 1960 when he was the star of ABC's "The Rebel" and making an appearance at WLOS-TV's Greenville SC satellite station (its HQ was in Asheville NC) during a telethon for something or other.
