As of tonight, most of the telly stations in ND will be dropping their analog signal. One station will maintain one for emergency. In the case of PPTV, the station manager said it was not economical to keep two different towers running.

Not sure about the Fox station inour area but the others will be jumping the analog ship

If you think Betsy and I get a tax refund, you need some consultation time with FJL.  ;)

There are two small areas that will not go digital until Friday due to weather conditions last week in Western North Dakota prevented final improvements to be made for conversion.

re: the hives on my neck.

I don't know that you'd call them hives. But that was the best description i could come up with (red and sort of like a rash).

No i was not wearing a scarf.

And i don't think i ate anything i haven't eaten a million times.

I did have on my winter jacket that zips up quite high covering my neck. And i did (the day before) wash it with soap because my make-up had left a mark. I wonder if this soap could have irritated my neck?

Definitely.  Did you use a new detergent, or you possibly didn't rinse it well enough.

I don't necessarily know it was this.  But i wasn't even thinking when i wiped the make-up off my jacket. I just used regular dish detergent. I was just wiping off the make-up and not even thinking that it would touch my neck. I didn't rinse it off well at all because i was just trying to get off the make-up.

My neck is still red but it doesn't hurt. Hopefully it will go away. I did re rinse my jacket in case that was it.

ND has been pretty good about getting the word out. Student groups as a service project have been working to get the word out.

I have a question for DR Jose (or any other DR who knows this).

Have you read Seth Rudetsky's book Broadway Nights?

I really wish he could have just written a non-fiction real account of his life.  But i am curious. Some of the names he uses are real. But most are made up (although they seem like broadway people i recognize like the Weisslers). I was just wondering how many of the stories are true (if you know).

I'm almost done the book. But the fact vs fiction part is confusing me a bit.

I might as welluse the telly until the tube goes... The picture is a bit bizarre from time to time. However, one bright point, I can now get closed captioning on the older telly

I love the smell of citrus blooming. Our neighborhood used to have lots of citrus. Not so much any more.

It's basically a work of fiction based on some of his "real life" events.  If you want more info, just check out sethrudetsky.com for more info - and stories!

*And I highly recommend the audio-book version of "Broadway Days and Nights" too.

Fun moment [from memory, even though it was just minutes ago]

Larry King: Suze (Orman), what did the market do today?

Suze:  The market did nothing, it was closed today!!!!!

I actually didn't take any pictures today.  Well, I did take a few, but mainly for my "Flickr Project 365" project.  Today was just a good day to look and watch.  I was also playing tour guide to my buddy, Fernando.  We walked around SoHo and Chinatown for a few hours since he had never really spent much time in that part of town.

Sounds like Ashland, only I had a perfect hike on the trails.  I never went into the shopping area.

But I did try something new today when I stopped into Roni-Sue Chocolates in the Essex Street Market:

BaCorn - Caramel (Pop)Corn with Real Bacon Bits and Chile Piñon Nuts

Sweet, Salty, Smoky, Spicy, Crunchy - A true taste sensation!

*I also tried a sample of her new Pomegranate Truffles - very tasty too.

As for Facebook's new TOS, they've issued some "clarifications":
