I'm back, and to prove it, I'm here.  Had a perfectly perfect meal with our very own Pogue.  As always, we laughed and laughed and just when we thought we could laugh no more, we laughed again.  I tried to be a good boy - I hadn't eaten anything all day, and I only ordered a salad, a BLTA and fries and we split an order of so-so onion rings.  And then came the coconut cream pie with mounds of whipped cream.  I'm ashamed to say I couldn't finish the damn thing I was so full from the sandwich, fries and salad.  But, it certainly was yummiliciously yummilicious.

I must now plotz for a few minutes.

I was never a fan of HAPPY DAYS so I didn't watch the reunion show. I haven't really liked ANY reunion show that I have watched, even for classics like DICK VAN DYKE and MARY TYLER MOORE shows.

And I wish Fox would change its mind and start issuing more seasons of MARY TYLER MOORE. I'd really love to have all 7 years of them.

Well, after a full meal, BK and I both had coconut cream pie slathered in whipped cream and we are now glutted.  The next time he orders onion rings as an appetizer, I must muzzle him.  It's always the onion rings that kill us.

Holy moley on rye, page nine!  RASPBERRY!

Oh, and they did not have raspberry pie, dear reader Ann, but they did have raspberry cheesecake.  I will scan the pie menu later on and post it.

Speaking of turnips, what did everyone eat tonight.

Jane, I love my AARP magazine!  I joined AARP the minute I turned fifty.  I figure why not get all the perks I can.  I actually find it an interesting and useful magazine.

We didn't get the snow they predicted, so thank goodness for that! And looks like we're going to have some warming over the next few days. Today was such a cold dreary day that warming and sunny skies sound like heaven.

Good evening all
I'm sorry they had no raspberry pie, but I'd definitely take the raspberry cheesecake...yum!
Today I found a recipe online for salmon corn chowder, so I decided to try it.  I'm happy to say it turned out wonderfully.  It'll be my meals for the next few days.  I also made some fat free brownies using nonfat vanilla yogurt.  They turned out rather tasty as well...still not as yummy as regular brownies, but surpisingly good.

Off to watch CSI and Without A Trace...

I decided tonight would be LP night, so I turned on the pho-no-graph, and I am now listening to the lovely COLPIX album CP442: "My Dad" by Paul Peterson "of the DONNA REED Show."

Is the flipside of that him singing with Shelley Fabares?

I couldn't live without a phonograph.

Hello, fellow Dear Readers.

I don't have time to read the notes or posts, but thought I'd pop in to say hello. After the phone line gets fixed, I'll catch up. Through some miracle, I am logged onto the internet when I turn on the rarely-used laptop. But the connection is V-E-R-Y   S-L-O-W, and it often fails.

Maybe I'll have a photo or two to share, when I have a decent connection again.

Good Evening!

I'm beat tonight too.  -DR Danise, you are not alone.  It was a true struggle staying awake and attentive during the second act of the show tonight, but I made it through.  And only 12 more performances - not that I'm counting or anything..

 :P

Oh, and DR Danise - The Drama Bookshop - if the reading does happen there - is walking distance from The Muse - just two blocks down.  Maybe three.  But it's definitely walking distance.  Who knows?  Maybe you'll end up with a bunch of escorts for the evening.  And you won't even have to leave them a tip!

Since it appears you are picking up someone else's signal, I suggest walking around your house with your laptop till you find a sweet spot, or at least a sweetest spot for the signal.  Oh, and try to stay by windows.  ...if you are so inclined.

Actually no, DRRODZINSKI.....I have a few Shelley duets on another album - but this is all Paul All the time.  Produced and conducted by Stu Phillips, Arranged by Phillips and Jimmie Haskell.

MBARNUM by an Audiotronics Phono on Ebay for $50 - unless you don't have any LP's either.....LOL.  I can't believe you don't have a stereo....haunt those estate sales - a nice RCA console would be perfect with your decor!

Paul is done singing - I have moved on the the PROMISES PROMISES OBC LP on the VERY colorful United Artists label!

Well, as Liz Callaway is singing "Goodbye for Now" to me via my CD player, I'm afraid I must say the same...

Goodnight.

If they listen to too much Judy Collins they tend to get down a bit.
