WHO KNOWS WHERE THE TIME GOES?
« on: February 02, 2005, 11:58:54 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, you are now wondering where the time went whilst you were reading the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home, which will be just as soon as we figure out where the time went.

And the word of the day is: RASPBERRY.

I offer it freely and with some affection to each and every WUSSBURGER.

I see two people who are not WUSSBURGERS.  Hoo and ray.  No raspberry for them.

Good Morning!

I was only Semi-Wussburgering tonight.  Even though I was not reading and posting on HHW over the past few hours, I have been online researching digital cameras, photo printers, etc.  We shall see if spend the rest of my "technology fund" tomorrow.  -Actually, if I get the camera and the printer I'm leaning towards, then I should still have plenty of funds left for some more "technology" down the line.

Oh, and I also went through all the various set up menus on my new phone.  WOW!!!  Of course, I ended up setting it up so that it just did the basic stuff, just too many bells and whistles, but what can you do?

Oh, and I also started tracking down the reviews for Good Vibrations.... Yikes!  The New York Times was firmly tongue in cheek.

And...

BK - When was the last time you were at House of Pies?  Maybe a slice of Coconut Cream with extra whipped cream is what you're due for now.

Do they make a Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake?

Five dinner guests:  Shakespeare (whoever he was...I want the guy who wrote the plays, even if it wasn't Shakespeare); John Barrymore in his prime; Bodicea (or Boudicca, if you prefer); Richard III (I have some questions I want to ask); Richard Burton (the explorer...or the actor, either one would probably a be fascinating conversationalist)

I shall have to think about the dinner party question.  My brain is sleepy.  Although, I have had a few sort of "surreal" dinners over the past few years with people I never thought I'd be meeting in person, let alone breaking bread with.  And popping a few champagne corks too!

I may just be there this very evening.

And may I just add - RASPBERRY!

iPod is on and I'm listening to the great unknown Bacharach song Come and Get Me, sung by Jackie DeShannon.

But off the top of my head - subject to change once the light of day starts streaming through my window:

A composer's round table of sorts-
Maurice Ravel
Claude Debussy
George Gershwin
Clara Wieck-Schumann - I just have to get all the dirt on Mssrs. Brahms and Schumann
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

I've actually had dinners with some of my heroes, so that's nice.

Some people I'd love to have supped with at my dinner party - Judy Holliday, Leslie Parrish, Harper Lee, James Thurber.

Isn't House of Pies open ALL NIGHT?

Not the one in Los Feliz surprisingly.  1:00am, 2:00am, 3:00am depending on the day of the week - at least that's what I remember reading on the door.  Kind of surprised me too.  I may have to Google for clarification.

Now the ones I supped at in Houston, TX, were/open 24 hours.

*Now, if you indeed want to head out in that direction in the wee hours of the morning, Fred 62 is open 24 hours.  I had some very yummilicious food items there during my time in LA.  Their "Punk Tarts" - homemade PopTarts are a pretty good.
