I got LOTS of NEW spam emails yesterday.....

Yum!  A fried spam sandwich sounds really good right now.

(Sorry, Jane.)

Even if I ate meat I find that stuff disgusting. ;D

Me too.  But I have already moved on to my newest craving.  Tacos!   Either from Taco Time (first  choice) or Taco Bell.

If I was able to drive, I wouldn't have these cravings (for very long).

Spam is nice on white bread with Hellman's Mayo and Velveeta Cheese.

Yes, I am a gourmand.

Keith took my car or I would have left by now.  As soon as he returns I'm off to do errands and get my hair cut.

Here is a video review of the Folger TAMING OF THE SHREW that we saw Sunday.  Some good clips, but, alas, no audio of the show.

I'm afraid most of my Kiev photographs have turned out disastrously. I think I had the camera on the wrong settings. I fly back home tomorrow. Will try to get some better pictures before then.
Bummer.

Have you inadvertently changed an exposure +/- control?  Got the white balance wrong?  Bad speed setting?  Those are the things that have tripped me up on more than one occasion.

It was the shutter speed. These cameras are too complicated. Maybe in my dotage I should be using a point and shoot!

Doug, are you a spy by any chance?

Yes. Oops! I shouldn't have said that. Was it a double bluff?

I guess Ben, and Jack, and I will have to be the Spam Fan Club.  And how can you eat a burger in Hawaii without a slice of Spam on it?

The fellow who's projecting Nudie Musical at the midnight screening at the Nuart Theater decided to do up his own trailer for the film and the event.  Those who've seen the Nudie trailers know that they all avoided actually showing anything from the film, at least not any of the good bits, because they simply couldn't.  Today it would be a different story, and so his trailer has many of the film's highlights.  Check it out:

That's hysterical!! ;D

Taco Bell is my first choice.  But I also love Taco Del Mar.  They have a rewards punch card and Monday is their double-punch day!  Normally, 10 punches on the card will get you either a free burrito or $5 off your order (depending on what kind of card they use...it changes), so if you go on Mondays, you only have to go five times, instead of ten.

DR Ben, the exhibits at the Lincoln Center library are wonderful! The one on the main floor is a Noel Coward exhibit: costumes, posters, sheet music, video clips, photos, ephemera, lyric sheets, Bea Lillie's sctipt for HIGH SPIRITS, all accompanied by a wonderful soundtrack of Coward songs. It's quite an event.

The exhibit downstairs on Amsterdam Avenue is a history of revue: scripts, music, posters, photos of the Zeigfeld Follies, George White Scandals, Garrick Gaieties, Lufe Begins at 8:40, Pins and Needles and others. They are both very wonderful exhibits.

So, I am home, the AC has been turned on, and I will chill out for a bit.

Fry them or bake them.

My mother used to make the most incredible porcupine meatballs.
