Sure we will.

If you were to see only one movie this year, make it this one:

My humble opinion!

Sure we will.

But page 14?

That's another story!

Just opened one of the Return To Oz's - always worried something this old (1990) won't play, but there it was, issuing forth in gorgeous full-bodied sound, and now I can't shut it off.

I think that's "Fatal Retraction" the one with Bill Kroelick the pyromaniac...who "may" make an appearance in season 3,

That would THRILL me to pieces! As I have said many times on this site, that was BY FAR my favorite episode of the first season. Jason O'Mara lights a fire in me just by his very presence. I just wish his series IN JUSTICE was still airing.

I don't think there is any reason to worry.

Michael S's post reminds me that I used to get the lyrics wrong on "The Day After Forever," thinking it started with "long day tomorrow."

How about a "Day After Forever" dance?

All day tomorrow,  (or is it Long day tomorrow?  :) )
I'll be whispering your name
And the day after forever
I know I'll do the same.

I have managed to take most of the week off, but alas, the tree men are done and I have no more excuses. Good thing tomorrow is Friday.

I do need to spend some time at the office catching up on paperwork and have a jail visit to do, but it's really strange to not be getting new cases.  I've been wanting it to happen for a long time, but it's the new cases that take up most of the time, so now when I'm at the office, there just isn't much for me to do.

I began my evening rewatching an episode from PLANET EARTH to check out the newest capabilities on the PS3 with its firemware upgrade.

I chose "Mountains," one of the most startling in its detail. Very enjoyable to see it again.

Next, I watched another ANGEL episode, the second part of the story arc featuring the demon who managed to turn almost all of Wolfram and Hart into zombies. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of this villain.

Up next was Katharine Hepburn and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. in MORNING GLORY. Amazing that the character of Eva Lovelace would have found the Adolphe Menjou character more appealing than Fairbanks, Jr.'s character.

The transfer had a very sharp picture with good grayscale, but there was plenty of damage to the print they used for this DVD.

Next, I went to the to-watch shelf and picked out SOLDIER, a 1998 Kurt Russell action/sci-fi picture. I got this used for a few dollars because a friend had told me how stupendous Kurt looked in this movie. He sure was right. I can't think of another movie where his body was so chisled - astounding.

As for the film, it's the mind of mindless adventure film that the RAMBO sequels were. Stallone would have fit right into this scenario had he still been a box-office draw in 1998. The last 35 minutes basically was Russell being a one man army against theis elite squad of soldiers who had earlier termed his kind of soldier obsolete.

No surprises at all about what happens, but there was a good cast along with Kurt: Connie Nielsen, Michael Chiklis, Gary Busey, Jason Scott Lee, Jason Isaacs.

I ended the evening with a Droopy cartoon, "Out Foxed." The fox being chased by the hounds had a hilarious Ronald Colman accent. The jokes were duds, however.

I decided to save IF. . . .  until tomorrow morning to watch.

The next film in the Hepburn collection set is WITHOUT LOVE, but I may not get to it tomorrow. Certainly I will at some point this weekend.
