Yes JRand, TAR last night was one of the most enjoyable episodes! The Cowboys had me in stitches a few times. They are very amusing.

I don't yet know the outcome of last night's race, but it looks to me that CBS is setting the Cowboys up to be another Rob-and-Amber, all-purpose kind of twosome.  The network had them do a commercial for some country music awards a week or two ago...

I don't see them that way at all. Btw, are they actual brothers? I never knew this if they are.

I found rob and amber to be smarter. I find the cowboys to be good physically and occasionally mentally. But i would not consider them overly bright. Although they did surprise me on one task last night.

Btw, i did not have any cake yet. But my mom made a chocolate cheesecake that is creamy. Hopefully it will be good.

Apparently (i just found this out) i am having a bunch of people come over after dinner to watch hockey and eat the cake.

I wish someone would have told me, since i'm not really a hockey fan and would rather watch DANCING WITH THE STARS.  But it's a big game (the canadiens maybe final playoff game).

BK,

Sorry to hear about your Blu-Ray issues.

That's why I still prefer to watch/buy DVDs.

And that's one reason why I haven't gotten into Blu-Ray discs at all. :-\

DR TCB - Yes, "flavorless" is a word. Which, of course, is different from "tasteless".  ::)

DR Laura - RE: Your theatre seats - I suggest that you go ahead and relinquish your seats. Just have the two couples move in one seat closer to the center so that they're sitting next to each other.  Then you and DR Laura and/or your DH can sit on each side of the two couples - the two couples between you - and then you can lean over and talk to each other. And make sure to talk about how generous it was of you to offer up your seats for them.  Oh, and pass programs, notes and refreshments too.

::)

I just can't find anything on any page that says upload photo - not to the wall, not to the photo section - I just don't see it.  I have the photo on my hard drive, I have it hosted at tiny pic.

bk - DR Jane walked you through it yesterday.

Thank you, I thought I was being ignored again ;)

DR Jane that is an interesting card design, thanks.

I wish I had the talent to make a card like that, not just find it on the internet.  I liked that is was different with a sentiment that expressed my feeling. :)

DR MBarnum, I too like the card you gave DR Jennifer.

DR Jennifer, enjoy the cake if not the game.

Thanks for the emails.  Warning, you don't have nearly enough names for the 3rd book.  I've decided to go with the flow & not worry if I mix up a few people as long as I keep the key players straight.

The only reason that I even own a Blu-Ray player is because it came with the surround sound system I had installed in my new home.

I did have time this morning to watch last night's BROTHERS & SISTERS before we headed out to lunch. I wasn't all that high on the show. The secrecy thing is SO stupid about this show. Sarah gets a pregnancy scare and is determined to keep it a secret from the potential father? I don't get it. I don't care what his immigration problems are, he deserved to be kept in the loop, especially if she loves him as she says she does.

Now we see Justin considering returning to active service as a medic, and what do you want to bet he keeps THAT from Rebecca until the last possible minute?

Marion Ross did a fantastic job acting dementia with her character last night. Brilliant performance.

My favorite SHerlock Holmes story of all-time is "The Speckled Band." It was also well done for TV in the Jeremy Brett version.

Favorite Holmes movie is and likely always will be THE HOUSE OF FEAR even if the story has been updated to the 1940s. It's a brilliant mystery in the vein of TEN LITTLE INDIANS, and I love Rathbone's performance in this.

As for other Holmes films, I do like Peter Cushing's HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES and both A STUDY IN TERROR and MURDER BY DECREE with Holmes against Jack the Ripper.

I love the production of THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, but it is too smug for its own good. Something about the tone Wilder has injected into it that doesn't quite sit right with me.

DR Michael Shayne,

Basil Rathbone did two Holmes period films, both released in 1939: HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES and THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES. I prefer the latter to the former, but they're both superb productions.

When I got in from lunch, I immediately began a BONES marathon with two episodes. The first was that one we were discussing last night with the murder on the aircraft. Excellent mystery, but I remember when it was first aired, I guessed the wrong murderer thinking it was, ..., well, whom they suspected right before the UV light identified the real killer.

I think that the only Sherlock Holmes movies that I've seen were "The 7% Solution," "Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother" and the new Robert/Jude movie.

The second one with the bones found in the tree was a good mystery, too. The victim (whom we see only in photos) was a real hunk, and I wish he had gotten to be on camera in flashbacks or in some way other than as a corpse. He was FINE.

I remember guessing the mother when the show first aired, obviously wrong but not a poor guess at all.

I have one more BONES episode on this second disc in the Blu-ray set, and I'll likely watch it when I go back down. I also have last night's THE TUDORS and I want to watch 30 ROCK also before I settle in with CHUCK tonight around 8:30.
