Well, you've read the notes, the notes had kernels and a little panic, and now it is time for you to post until the panicked cows come home.

Topic of the Day:

My favorite fruits?  A lot of them...bananas, cherries, blueberries, watermelon, grapes, etc.  What do I like to do with them??  Eat them, of course! ;D

My favorite vegetables?  Not as many...corn, tomatoes and onions (especially on hamburgers), garlic, bell peppers (especially on sub sandwiches), potato, pumpkin (especially as pie), etc. :D

Good morning, all!  I went to bed around 9pm, andI slepy very well until around 11:30, when the neighbor above he arrived home with his lady friend and proceeded to fill my apartment with the sound of their lusual noise, their eight feet in heavy workboots clomping about the floor, the thuds of the unfolding bed and several large objects hitting the floor at various moments.  Needless to say, I was not amused, and after their wandering about the apartment and other noises died around 12:30, I was awake until around 2:00am plotting horrible deaths for them.  As a result, I ignored the 6:30 alarm and slept in until 8:00.  I am not happy about this.

I am off to Toyland.  I have things to attend to. More from there.

Saturday morning greetings!  I'm due at the book sale at noon for another 3-hour shift.  The Easter Bunny arrives at the mall at 12:30 and will hand out a flyer with coupons from several establishments.  We contributed a coupon for 1 free red-stickered children's book (25 cents).  The hope, of course, is that the parents spend some money, too.

Actually, DR FJL, you called while I was taking a hot bath. I don't feel particularly poorly; I'm getting little sleep between the current ROBERTA stress, concerns over the DEAREST ENEMY edits, and the neighbor above me.

I loved the chorus for EILEEN, but the Dublin production team decided to change chorus personnel and the sopranos on DEAREST ENEMY, mostly young college girls from the City University, sound like anemic chorus boys! I worked my butt off on this recording and I'm feeling that several of my team let me down. Perhaps we can fix it in the mix?

I've unpacked about seven cartons of the McGlinnventory since Thursday, and I've found the original things on "Something For The Boys" that he "borrowed" from the Cole Porter Trust over 20 years ago and never returned. They will hopefully get back to the Trust this week and off my back.

I think it's about time to head for home. I understand the St Patrick's Day parade is today, so I am not taking a bus. Last year it took us over an hour to get from 42nd Street to 59th Street, and I have no urge to see a lot of drunks weaqring green plastic "Irish" hats throwing up. I'll take the subway and hope for the best.

RE: fruits and vegetables

I am going by what I consider vegetables, not what they technically might be.

I love avocados. And tomatoes. I like salad a lot.

For fruits I like grapefruit, i like raspberries a lot.

For fruits besides the above two i mostly eat them as yonanas (the maching that takes frozoen fruit and makes it into ice cream). My favorite right now is mixed berries, bananas and peanut butter.

I'm very excited to see Jimmy Webb tonight. I've never seen him perform before and it's a new venue for me, about 35 minutes out of town. A musician friend drove up from Orlando for the concert and we took him out for dinner last night. He's a huge music fan so I'll be able to introduce him to another one of my music fan-friends, who is going in Greg's place. I love getting people together to talk music!

Back from a talk given by Laurie Marsh which was organised by the Cinema Theatre Association. Laurie Marsh has been a major figure in UK film industry production as well as stage productions, having owned cinema circuits and theatres. He financed Roman Polanski’s “Repulsion” and “Cul-de-sac”. He had a long theatre production association with Brian Rix (Lord Rix) who was also present.  Very interesting event – especially as there was plenty of food and wine!

Last week we had the mysterious disappearance of one of Keith's socks.  I swore it was on top of the folded clothes I carried back into the bedroom from the laundry room.

We looked everywhere we could think of.  I kept telling Keith it was bound to reappear & we have kept, what we thought was a watchful eye out for it.

This morning while I was in bed reading Keith started to walk into the bedroom, stopped & asked if I had found the sock yet.  He then said for me to stand in front of him and look for it.  "Hiding" in plain sight was the sock which had fallen on top of a metal rabbit in front of my dresser.

I still needed Keith to point out the exact location to me. ;D

Got industrious and wrote the first third of the commentary for the next Kritzerland show.  I'll hopefully do the second third tomorrow and finish on Monday.  It will be great to have that out of the way.

Just to keep it fresh, why don't you do the final third tomorrow; and then do the second third on Monday?

I had a terrific swim today.  I was very good about resting my shoulder when I should I never overtired it.  Taking the needed rests is easier when I have the single lane to myself or, as I did for the first 25 minutes, having half of a double lane to myself.

After an hour I really didn't want to get out so I treated myself to an extra 5 minutes.

I can't believe my swimming suit from last year is already falling apart & I don't even wear it every week.  When I got out of the pool my suit felt funny and I noticed it was bubbling, like it had been filled with air....very strange.

I used to keep swim suits for years, not anymore.  I have a couple of nice ones that are holding up better but I'm thinking I don't want to wear them on a regular basis & should save them for traveling.

That reminds me.  I'm going to look online for the one I like that I got last summer & has held the shape better even though I have worn it twice as much.

I visited an artist friend today who was playing Jimmy Webb while he painted.  What a coincidence

One of my favorite Washington State Governors passed away early this morning.  Govenor Booth Gardner served two terms from 1985 to 1993.  He was the only governor who ever visited a state office I was working in during my 28 years as a state employee.  The last twenty years he suffered from Parkinson's Disease, and it was because of his efforts that Washington State passed the "Death With Dignity Law" in Washington.

I believe I might hear next week or so whether Jonathan Frank's obscenely padded (yet carefully drafted and meticulously edited and paraphrased() attempt to get my legal license taken away is successful.

I hope Jonathan Frank can get reprimanded and loses plenty of work for what he's done, in whatever order it happens in, irt will be just fine, thank you very much.

I hope whoever at City Center Encores has stood by Jonathan Frank so steadfastly despite knowing very well all the evil garbage Jonathan has pulled, despite Skip and me being longtime friehds of people at Encores, despite Skip and me having been clients of City Center's law firm going way back, also gets a special place in corporate "it's only business"hell reserved for himself or herself or themselves.

Believe me, I understand! As a Mac user, I wish I could be more  positive at the moment about my own situation. I shouldn't have upgraded without calling my Mac man and asking him about it. I had no problems upgrading to Snow leopard, but Mountain Lion ate me alive.

My Mac man will be here Wednesday and hopefully straighten out some of this mess. Seamonkey should recover, with his help, some of my lost emails on Netscape, but I won't know until then.  I have to buy Microsoft Office 2011 before Wednesday afternoon, and that will allow me to open all documents again. Grrr ...

It's just that Jonathan's lawyer is a pretty shrewd "legal shark" type who was really able to cut and paste evidence in a way taht made me have to point out that he had done that, and yet may have diluted my argument of how Jonathan was really doing this to retaliate for my complaints about the two years of stalking he had caused.  He's an expert at making the victim look like a bully for having complained too loudly (or more loudly than he would have liked) for having been victimized.

But in that theme - Mel Brooks' Hope for the Best, expect the worst

Thanks.     I don;t have a logical reason, i was just assuming that the opposite parties were among the "guests" based on some info that was coming back (like one of them had known about a trip I was going to take which I had posted about on here) so i guess i got scared to post.  I was following and pretty much always made sure to get back for boirthdays, though.

And congratulations to the Girl Scouts in Oregon for selling every single box of the 6000 that were previously ordered as a hoax.  There are still good people in this world.

Yeah! I saw that story on the news.  What a poopy thing to do to girl scouts.   I figured they would sell them all after it hit the national news.

DOLLAR TREE had some swell $1 dvds...I picked up a 10 episode set of both MARCUS WELBY MD and THE 1969 series THE BILL COSBY SHOW and a set of 20 or so episodes of black and white JOHNNY CARSON SHOW episodes.

I don't know if any of you ever have heard of The God Squad - Rabbi Marc Gelman and Monsignor Tom Hartman wrote a joint column for many years and spoke  at various venues and when Monsignor Hartman contracted Parkinson's  Rabbi Gelman continued it  - they both served local congregation , in fact Rabbi Gelman since 1981 has  presided  at a temple I pass every day -   I always assumed they were  local celebrities - it was only today I discovered (while chatting with his at the soup kitchen) that his column is actually nationally syndicated and that he also writes for Newsweek

I am free of ADRIFT IN MACAO, and on to nailing the piano parts in BARNUM.  Or trying to nail.  No, I really want to nail them.

I'll learn the parts as written out, then study the Broadway and London recordings for proper embellishment.  I think when I originally posted about this, I used the word "improvisation".  That's wrong.  Those incredible pianists embellished, in the most wonderful and thoroughly appropriate fashion, and I will do what I can to borrow from their work.
