Well, you've read the notes, the notes were DC (defiantly cute), and now it is time for you to post until the defiantly cute cows come home.

Ask BK:

So, you like the calorie counts on the menu. Is that the first time you've seen those? Do you think you'd pay attention to them every time you dined out?

I ask because a friend of mine was raving with delight when she first went to New York because the nutritional info was there on her menu. By the third meal, though, she just wanted to order what she wanted and not be told how potentially bad it was for her.

Good morning, all! Another night without the neighbor above me let me sleep very well. On top of that, no signs or noises of spectral visitation, so I'm feeling rather good today.

Sounds like life in DC is going nicely. I'd love to go down to see BK, Lanny, and Sandy's show, and play at the Library of congress, but until April 15, all I make is going to the IRS.

DR cillaliz, I wish you luck with your transition from criminal cases to (hopefully) lots of immigration ones.

I will shortly head for Toyland: I'm working with Peter Foley today on metronome markings for the score. This morning, as well, the Cole Porter Trust is sending a messenger to pick up everything I've located for them on SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS. Hopefully, I will leave Toyland no later than 2:00pm. My Mac specialist is coming over at 4pm to see what of my old Netscape files can be retrieved and to set up my new email.

Signature prevents HELLO DOLLY!?  I hope someone other than Eric is directing.

That's my day.

I really enjoyed the dancing, but then I didn't like the all-stars concept at all and I'm happy as an audience member to have a normal contest back to enjoy.  I love when people who get kicked off are good sports about it and sticks round and come back during the season, which seems to happen a lot.  :)

We saw Sandy's show at the Metropolitan Room last December in New York.  Loved her performance, and BK's work on that show was top-notch, too.  i hope BK got to see that night's show and that the crowd reaction also came through on the tape - so he could hear how well it went over with the crowd  (and his brand new song was a big big hit).

I do like the calorie count - they don't do them everywhere in LA - the restaurant has to have a specific number of branches - CPK does but you have to ask for it.  But when you're trying to lose weight, it's great.

Had an busy day yesterday.

I went to work early and tried to leave a little early around 4:30 as I needed to get up to Palm Beach by 6pm during rush hour. I managed to get home, walk the dog, change and start driving and arrived just in time.

I met Alex Rybeck for dinner at Colony Hotel and then afterwards saw the wonderful Faith Prince in concert.

Oh wow, this is such so silly, if you know The Bodyguard and know the Whitney Houston songs - this is how they "shoe-horned" the uptempo "I Wanna Dance with Somebody Who Loves me" into the London musical.  Apparently, even the guy who plays the stalker in the show gets to sing a few lines of the song.

audio from London BODYGUARD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIu6CbQQHl8

This was done on a night Heather Headley was out, so it's her understudy, but this feels like the ultimate in working a song that probably doesn't fit into a book show by hook or by crook!  :)

DR CILLA LIZ how do you think Juan is doing?  I think he is doing great and then I listen to the call in shows, and stupid people say things like...  "He was attacking her....so she shot him....."  and there isn't "enough evidence to show premeditation..." and stuff like that.

I wish Juan hadn't talked so much about her story that she got a gun in the closet and shot him....there was NO gun....but now it's been talked about so much, a lot of people just accept it as a fact....  I am afraid there is going to be one dumb ass on the jury that will argue something that illogical, and all that work will be for nothing.

I don't think they have proven self-defense, so hopefully that won't be an option for the jury.

I loved the all star season.

What I don't really enjoy watching are people who don't push themselves to their greatest ability. For instance on Monday's show we had DL Hughley and Andy Dick. Both of similar low capabilities.

Yet I could not have been more disappointed in the first. He was so bad. But I was so impressed with Andy. He was amazing for what he is capable of doing. He was fun, funny, charming, cutesy. I could not have been more shocked that I liked his performance.

That looks quite distressing. I do think that the American Humane Association should take a closer look into whether these creatures are harmed during the filming of such scenes.

Well, our day didn't unfold quite the way we set out.  I was finished at the podiatrist's at 10:15, too early for brunch.  We made a couple of stops and came on home.  I got out the Easter decorations and read for a while.  Then we went back out for lunch at Chipotle and a couple more errands.  Our house and front door are now decorated for Easter and guess what we saw when we were out - snowflakes!

(I smallerized the picture a bit)

Yikes!  Is that really one serving...for one person??  And ALL of that's really only 320 calories??

But then, according to THIS (http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/generic/lobster-steamed-or-boiled) website, lobster is only 27 calories an ounce, so maybe.  It just looks like a LOT of food (none of which I'd touch. :P)

ASK BK

Have you ever done the touristy stuff while in DC? Gone to the White House?

No - when I was here in 1988 it was only for a day and I was working.  We were downtown, and, interestingly, I ate at the downtown Capital Grille back then - so, two meals at Capital Grilles, and maybe a third this evening with Lanny.

I think that it's great if they have the calorie count. But i don't think it should be on the main menu. There should be a section in the back.

It is on the back of the menu - and not in the main part.

Yep, 320 calories for all that seafood - shellfish and cocktail sauce is about as diet as you can get.  I may have the salmon this evening or steak Oscar - both are under seven hundred calories.  And maybe a cup of clam chowder with it, that's another 250.  I've only had some fruit today.

I've been going back and forth about the tax situation and it turns out that Lo and Behold, I was right about them telling me that they would pay them.   I should be receiving a check to cover them any time now.  :)

Then there is the 2nd big news--the guy (named Sergio but not the same guy) just left a little while ago after coming to measure the kitchen.  Maybe the 6th time will be the charm because he said that when he gives his word something will be done, it is.  Add to that I was told that I will have GRANITE countertops.  That is more than I could hope for.

Larry, one of the advantages of Gmail is that your email resides on their servers, so even if all your data was lost, you could still access all your email. Although I use Gmail personally, I'm not a big fan of the way it does other things, such as being overly zealous with what it perceives to be spam.

Went with Lanny to the Capital Grille - this time I had a filet mignon Oscar - 8oz steak with crabmeat and a teeny-tiny bit of hollandaise - total calories, 590.  I had a cup of clam chowder - 340 calories, and one roll, so I think I did pretty well.  No jog, but we walked to Sandy's house so that's about two miles and we walked briskly.  Lanny and I took a short walk after dinner, and at eight-thirty we're meeting in the gym - as it turns out they have one stationary bike machine so hopefully that will be free and I'll do thirty minutes on that and do about two or three miles, which should work off around 200 calories.

Looking forward to a quick trip to DC, seeing BK & Co., and hearing the show.  It will be a brief but enjoyable visit.

I, too, have only been there once, but at around 10 years of age, and the place fascinated me.  Now I live five hours away, so shame on me.  I always say I'll drive down, see the place, do a few touristy things, etc., but it never seems to happen.

Just an audio clip from THE BODYGUARD?  That's it?  Did they have Ms LuPone patrolling the aisles looking for people with cameras?

Well, he has already sent me the 3D plan of the kitchen--It looks wonderful!  Now to see if it happens.

Does anyone except me see how fast things got rolling after all those wonderful posts you made?  Thank you all!

Horrible trying to do You Tube - the connection here must be VERY slow.  But someone from the high school has just posted a few clips from The Brain.  Very sweet.  They did change some of the lyrics, which I completely understand, but I think in the next month or so, I'm going to do a "lite" version that high schools will be more comfortable with - that way they'll have the option of alternate lyrics and a few lines, too.

But then, according to THIS (http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/generic/lobster-steamed-or-boiled) website, lobster is only 27 calories an ounce, so maybe.  It just looks like a LOT of food (none of which I'd touch. :P)

You don't like shrimp or lobster?

We had a very productive work session - mostly to do with the upcoming CD - we now have all but two songs chosen.  I did some good arrangement work with Lanny and all the layouts are done.

Is Sandy aware that she has a large fan club on this site?

What kind of changes, BK?  Did they change something that you think that really shouldn't be changed?

Sandy is very aware.

They changed, "So please suck on my neck 'cause a hickey is swell" and "put your hand on my chest, someday we'll do the rest" and in Here on Earth they changed "having meals, having sex" but interestingly kept "When I have my time of month" and the girl who plays Donna isn't shy.  The changed lyrics were fair and so if high schools are going to do that sort of thing I may as well provide them with a good vanilla version.
