Well, you've read the notes, the notes were prepared again, the adventure continued, and now it is time for you to post until the adventuresome cows come home.

Good morning, all! The elevator is repaired, bur I'm still gunked up and feeling rather puny. I may cancel physical therapy and go back to bed. Tomorrow is he first day of four jumping ones and I need to get this out of my system ASAP. I do have to make a trip to the pharmacy for the monthly meds this morning, so whether I go to therapy or not, I still have an itinerary to work out this morning.

DR Jeanne, I'm really happy your bathroom problems were so easily resolved.

DR vixmom, how was this theatrical circus you attended? I think i may have a friend in it.

George - it's looking like the Dec. 2 date has simply replaced the Nov. 18 date, but wouldn't that be a good idea - to get it to the Kickstarter backers a couple of weeks early at least.

Re: DANCING WITH THE STARS

I definitely wish that Tommy had gone before Lea. Because other than him the others left are quite talented and I would be okay with any of them winning.

But Lea has a new pro (Artem).  And I do think that plays into things a lot. Think about it.  There are many many people who vote just for Derek.  But how many people would just vote for a new pro? Zero.  Plus a lot of people are criticizing things Lea said last week.  She didn't know better, but when she commented about wanting to challenge Tommy to the dance-off a lot of people were really turned off.

So while I was hoping that Tommy would go I was not at all surprised that she went. But I will not be happy if he doesn't go next week.

When you are ready to download, though, go to the software publisher's own page to get it.....and be ready to uncheck some boxes so you won't get some new menu bars or shopping services.

The regular BurnAware doesn't support copy discs or let you make bootable CD's.....but if you're just burning a BluRay from a file you should be fine.

Some of the others look okay, too.   ImgBurn especially might be something to look at.

DR Jeanne:  Have I bonded with the chickens?

Hmmm...they certainly know me, and they let me pick them up.  They even tolerate my petting them when they get near me while on their grubbing expeditions.   Still, from day to day, you never know which one will become a turncoat and make you chase her around the garden when you're ready to call it a day.

Everybody knows when you go to the show
You can't take the kids along
You've gotta read the paper and know the code
Of G, PG and R and X
And you gotta know what the movie's about
Before you even go
Tex Ritter's gone and Disney's dead
And the screen is filled with sex

Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Ridin' the trail alone
Whatever happened to Gene and Tex
And Roy and Rex, the Durango kid
Oh whatever happened to Randolph Scott
His horse, plain as can be
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Has happened to the best of me.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
I didn't know Bletchley Circle was back on...I think I only saw the first season. Is it on Netfliix?

We got season one (3 episodes) and season 2 (4 episodes) from Netflix.  I made the mistake of thinking season 2 was only one disc and ordered the second disc first.  It was a bit confusing though each disc is a separate story.  Do watch them in order.

Sadly it doesn't appear there will be a season 3.

Got coifed by Teddy, ate a cup of soup and a ham and Swiss on rye, picked up one package, did my banking and am home.  I realized I never got the e-mail from Jet Blue to check in, so I went to the site.  Every time I put in my password it doesn't work and I have to change it to something new.  Every single time.  Same thing today.  Then I couldn't print my boarding pass.  It was telling me it would save it as a PDF to my desktop, but it wouldn't.  I finally called and was really vociferous about these endless problems.  Basically, if you use a Mac and Safari you shouldn't use Jet Blue.  Basically if you use an AOL e-mail address you shouldn't use Jet Blue.  Safari is the reason I kept having to change the password, some incapability, which is absolutely inane.  Jet Blue and AOL are not compatible so e-mails don't come through.  I was able to print the boarding pass via Chrome but it still only let me save it as a PDF and had to print from there.  The woman didn't have a clew as to why that was happening, and yet, it's what happened.  I should be fine in NY to print at the hotel because those computers are usually Windows and use IE.  You would think in today's technology that they'd figure the stuff out, but no, that would be too much to ask.  Macs are used by millions of people, most of whom use the built-in Safari.  How hard would it be to adjust their site to work with such a hugely used browser.

So, I think that should be it.  We still need lots of attendees for all the NY shows - the only one that's approaching fifty people is the first show on Saturday.  So, please pass the word around for the other three shows - the 9:00 Saturday show (it won't be a late evening even starting at nine - everyone will be out by ten-twenty) and the two Sunday shows.

What a long and semi-interesting class.

A few assumptions were made by the instructor that don't bear going into here.

Still...there was food for thought.

And now the work day is one hour from being finished for me.

It is relatively cool and overcast outside.

We may have rain tomorrow, which means I'll have to put a piece of plywood over the chicken pen to keep the food and chickens dry.  The coop is covered so they have an escape if they don't want to feed.

A very good episode of "NCIS" was aired last night.  I thought it one of the best episodes I'd seen of that show in quite some time.  Very touching story that tied back to the Vietnam era.  I also loved the sub-plot of Tony's finding a stray cat, deciding to adopt him and then finding the cat had taken off after he thought they'd bonded.  Cats are like that.   Yeah, they are.

I then went to bed..."NCIS: New Orleans" and "Person of Interest" were being recorded on my DVR at my Condo...so those will be watched "later."

I told by people in the know that the Sandy Bainum CD will be in tomorrow.  Falling in Love won't be, though - that won't be here till Monday because that printer has been sick and it just sat there for two weeks.  So those who ordered both, they'll ship on Monday morning most likely.  I'll probably hold the single orders till then, too.  I will have some with me in NY because I can't wait to have it in my little hands.

I can't believe this item!!  On the local news they just had a story about two women (in a city I didn't hear) who have already gotten in line at their local Best Buy where they will hunker down for the next 16 days waiting for Black Friday.  These same women do this every year.  This year they want a good price on a new TV.

If they got a job with a temp service for 16 days, they could buy a new TV (any size they want) and turn around and get an income tax return in January!!

Everybody knows when you go to the show
You can't take the kids along
You've gotta read the paper and know the code
Of G, PG and R and X
And you gotta know what the movie's about
Before you even go
Tex Ritter's gone and Disney's dead
And the screen is filled with sex

Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Ridin' the trail alone
Whatever happened to Gene and Tex
And Roy and Rex, the Durango kid
Oh whatever happened to Randolph Scott
His horse, plain as can be
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Has happened to the best of me.

This is from the movie, "Drive-In (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074433/reference)."  My sister and I saw that back in the day, probably on TV, but we both remembered the song.

It's still a great song! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6tF6AT5ZSA) ;D

I am as packed as I can be the night before, so I've quit.  We're watching Kent State and Bowling Green play football - not exactly powerhouses.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was also good last night.  I haven't watched lasst night's regular NCIS, because I have been watching THE FLASH instead.

Last night, as we were practicing foxtrot, my teacher put on a CD that was half foxtrots, half quicksteps -- and all BK. It started with Michelle Nicastro singing something from Toonful. By the time it was through Harry Groener, Emily and Alice on "Little Me," Gregory Jbara on "Come to the Supermarket in Old Peking," Brent Barrett and so many more had sung. It was rather surreal. It was a duped disc but it had been packaged as ballroom music.

Elmore it was interesting and fun. I guess I looked too old and boring for any of the staff to interact with

The young and good looking were having fun and it was interesting being a spectator

The acrobatics were fun and impressive

The dinner was weird

Every table was brought something different to eat.  A huge cage full of lobsters, a platter of beef ribs, a whole suckling pig.... Then you were supposed to barter with people at other tables to get the meal you wanted or to get a taste of something else

Our table was given a suckling pig... I was the only goy at the table of 14 and two of the women began freaking out
So they took it away and brought us a few of the different other items..eventually

Watching a tape of the Encores! Carnival. I would not have believed it, but Anne Hathaway is little short of a miracle and Douglas Sills is appropriately, wonderfully sleazy. Like Brian Stokes Mitchell, too, and that isn't always the case. Debbie Gravitte is also in fine voice and great comic spirit. I had never seen the show and thought it might have been a little dated. Nope. Just wonderful. And the score really works.
