And then apparently the poop is going to hit the fan, weather-wise. All of that horrible stuff they've been getting in the Midwest is aimed squarely at us. This evening and overnight are going to bring much unneeded, unwanted, and unwelcomed snow and ice.

Tomorrow's supposed to pop up to 44 degrees Fahrenheit and bring rain showers, which is a joke. It always is a joke in winter. You always imagine a driving warm rain that will help in clearing some of the crap from the roads, and it's never like that at all. What we'll get is a limp drizzle, along with the reminder that 44 is not summer, but COLD, and the lousy chill and the horrible mess will only be inspired to stick around and continue their merry misery-making.

Julianne Moore (Actress), J.K. Simmons (Supporting Actor) and Patricia Arquette (Supporting Actress) are virtual locks.

However Best Picture and Director are a puzzle. They could both go to BIRDMAN or they could both go to BOYHOOD...or they could be split between the two films. At this point, I think that BIRDMAN has a slight edge, but I wouldn't be the least surprised if it went the other way.

The same goes with Actor: Eddie Redmayne has the edge, but it could easily go to Keaton.

I did sleep well, but this is a really bad month fiscally: property taxes which is the killer since that money is just lost money, and the usual medicare, apartment insurance, utilities, and rent. I was in the same lousy financial shape last year and I got through it, so I hope that will work for 2015 as well. Still doesn't stop the anxiety.

Most of my weekend is tied up with a celesta part for PAINT YOUR WAGON, which I will hand in to Joshie on Monday.

It didn't seem to have a plot, there were many scenes just left unresolved and I thought the transitions were abrupt and rough in some circumstances and difficult to ascertain in some of the earlier segments. Don't post spoilers without a warning, but I"m not sure there are any real spoilers cause I'm not sure there's even a plot to spoil

Something about she'd been ill but was okay - she was also smoking and I said, "You don't want to hear it from me, but you should stop. We want you alive." Then I'm at the Royalton Hotel in NY, where I guess this is taking place and a friend (don't know who) was taking me to my room, which was the same room I was in last time I was there (in real life, I've never been to such a hotel). Still there were some old newspapers I'd bought and hadn't been able to fit in my luggage. Nice. The flirtatious person came to the room, I showed her the papers, one of which was from 1984 and one of which was from whatever year the movie Hand in Hand was playing. Then suddenly I'm in the streets of NY with this friend who showed me to the room. He's with other friends and the flirtatious person is there, too. I say I just happen to be there. She asks if someone will walk her to her hotel, which she can't find. She says it's on State Street and everyone is telling her there IS no State Street. I tell her there is because it's in the song Everything's a Boulevard in Old New York - I sing her the line. I start walking her to State Street (I've never been there) and we're on what looks like the old 42nd Street and I say, "Great neighborhood" maybe we should take a cab. Then suddenly accompanied by a beautiful dolly shot, I'm arriving at her hotel, called The Epit, which seems to be run by Asians. I go to the lobby bar and see the flirtatious person sitting. The person sees me and I say "Can we have a conversation, you're not going to believe this." We go off privately and I tell her that I had a dream where she asked me to walk her to her hotel. I said the dream was so real that I found the hotel without ever having been there or her telling me she was staying there. Then in the next bit, I'm a cop or an actor playing a cop in what looks like something out of The Choirboys and we're having a meeting where I'm being introduced as the new guy. Alarm goes off.

The flirtatious person part I understand, because I met someone at the Robby Awards and Jason Graae jokingly said the person was being flirtatious - that was two weeks ago, but I did think about the person before falling asleep for the first time last night because the person is in Billy Elliot which is playing three performances this weekend at the Alex (after finishing its run at La Mirada) - the person's name, who I've only met that once is Marsha Waterbury and she was in Smile on Broadway. I do not understand one other thing in this dream or why this stuff was in my subconscious.

Saw about a dozen roseate spoonbills today. They're always so beautiful. Wish I had a megabuck camera to get closer images.

She was crying and mumbling about how she couldn't find anyone to do her hair. The groom was in the kiddie pool and the people who were supposed to decorate her reception were partying early instead. And the elevators weren't working. We made sure she got to the right floor, but she was a wreak.

At 3, I walked out to the beach, which is where the wedding was about to take place. The wind was so bad that she needn't have worried about her hair. But she looked gorgeous and, best of all, she looked happy.

The first woman at first couldn't get HHW on her computer but later did. She was quite annoyed that I couldn't figure how to restart my computer, which I guess I should have figured out by now (I got the new laptop a few months ago and it's windows 8 and set up differently from my previous laptops). The next guy said it sounded like an easy fix. Later in the conversation he apologized for saying that and transferred me to someone else. Oh wait, that's five people!

She had me go to some special page and do a "trace route," which proved to be unsuccessful. SHe had me copy the results and email them to her so she could forward them to someone else. BK--I read to them part of the email from your guy. They said they never block sites. They had the IP address for the site and had me type in the numbers in the "trace route" test. I'll send an email to the woman I spoke with.

When I was talking to the last woman she had me disconnect my router and plug the cord from the modem directly to my computer to see if that made a difference. Of course, it didn't. So after I hung up I put things back the way they were and now my internet is not secure because it doesn't require a password. The name of the internet account is Linksys, which is the router brand. Anyone know how I set it up so a password is required again?

It's about facing your fears head on and was very touching and sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The set was great, the costumes were wonderful and the acting was all very good.

I love the Washington Center's silent movie series. Dennis James has been playing the organ for these movies for several years now, and even though they aren't attended by large crowds, the people who come regularly love them, like I do.
