This is an underwater sculpture in Grenada honoring Africans that were thrown overboard the slave ships.

Ok, this is a serious question...other than the gimmick of the 12 years filming with the same actors, what about Boyhood is so good?   It didn't seem to have a plot, there were many scenes just left unresolved and I thought the transitions were abrupt and rough in some circumstances and difficult to ascertain in some of the earlier segments. Don't post spoilers without a warning, but I"m not sure there are any real spoilers cause I'm not sure there's even a plot to spoil

I think I'll pass on this movie. It does sound boring.

Well, most people are raving about it....

I agree.  I also thinks it sounds boring.

That would scare the crap out of me  if I was scuba diving.

Tonight I rented Nightcrawler on Directv. Boy was that creepy.  It's nominated for screenplay (can't remember which)

I am looking forward to the Oscars tomorrow.  I just wish I had seen Foxcatcher.   For those who have HBO, Citizenfour, the documentary about Edward Snowden starts on the 23rd

I always enjoy the Oscars.  Even though 3 out the 4 acting awards are already a lock.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC95NXEQruQ  Here's the trailer. It's a guy who gets a camera and starts filming crimes and accidents and selling it to the news.  But he's crazy and it gets very out of hand.

Jake Gyllenhaal could have been nominated for best actor for that role.  He was really good.

I am really glad I went to American Sniper.  It was difficult to watch but I think it was supposed to be.

I have heard of NIGHTCRAWLER. I just didn't remember the name.  Any film with Jake Gyllenhaal  has got my attention.
