BK, is this the version of DIE TOTE STADT that you're watching?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivdAZVjv0rU

If it is, it was just uploaded and will be up for the next 30 days. :)

Before I realized that that was the same video, I was searching for that version and I came across this video of an audio recording of DIE TOTE STADT:

It's not just the audio recording, the video is of the full score following along with the recording!

Poor night of sleeping.  It's too warm. Around 4:30 Stella began pestering me, but once she settled down, I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow's trip to East 42nd Street for the Covid vaccine.  There's no easy way there, so it will be a more expensive taxi ride than I would like.

In a normal year I'll watch the Tony Awards, gawk at the Golden Globes, and dutifully sit through the Oscar shenanigans. I guess we haven't had a normal year in a while.

I haven't watched the Grammy or Emmy shows in years. I don't believe I've ever watched the Drama Desk Awards.

Even when the Kennedy Center is honoring someone I care about, I find there's something off-putting about the ceremony itself for my taste, and I've rarely tuned in except to watch a segment after the fact.

DR Jane, here you cannot just show up and get the vaccine. The helper has to also be registered. I didn't even know that helpers were allowed to go.  Right now my mom is signed up for March 11th. I am also signed up. But don't know yet if helpers can be any age. I'll try to find out before she goes.

DR Jrand70 - it is my understanding that all the doses are the same. With the Pfizer and the Moderna, your system just needs the two doses, spaced apart, to be fully effective.

Italian but modern dress. Very black and white but with a few flashes of color. Straight.  The page was obviously a woman, but so short she seemed to be overlooked by everyone. The rousing finale to the first scene was led by her. Maybe I was just seduced by the music.

I got to CVS very quickly - no traffic at all. At eleven-fifteen I went in the store, after first running into Michael Kerker of ASCAP. Once in the store, I checked in both via text and person. I had to go to a separate window for no insurance people, but that only took ten seconds - nothing actually happened there. Then I waited. My appointment was 11:30 and they took me at 11:40. I had a nice shot lady and it was all very simple and save for the initial prick, it was fine. Then I waited for fifteen minutes, bought some I Be Profane in case of headaches, and was on my way home.

I decided to chance the bank and glad I did. There were only two people ahead of me, and a nice lady said I could cash the check in a big teller machine (different than the outdoor ATMs) so I gave that a try and it worked and I was out of there in five minutes. I walked over to my bank and there was no one there, either, so I was out of there in two minutes. A good day. Then I picked up the other important envelope - there are some packages due but I'll get them on the 'morrow.

Maybe I'll reveal the book title and cover in tomorrow's notes - maybe I just damn well will.

I saw an article about how all the social distancing has meant that this winter's flu season has been significantly lighter. Makes sense.

I haven’t even  had a cold in over a year...

A few times I felt like I was getting a cold and it turned out to be allergies.

The problem with me is that I think I always have symptoms of everything. I thought I had the vaccine symptoms last Friday before taking the shot.

Did you sign up for the CDC to record your side effects?

I note my migraine as a side effect as it was worse than they normally are.  There is no way for me to be sure.

So, I get a little e-mail from an Indiegogo contributor for The Creature, who's complaining he's never received an e-mail nor his DVD. So, I write back saying it's obviously lost, but before I send I go and check to make sure he was on the DVD list of people who took those various perks. He wasn't. So, maybe I missed it, even though I was VERY careful. So, I go to the campaign and look him up and he took the $75 thank you in the booklet perk:

Thank you in DVD booklet perk
$75 USD
For this perk, you get your very own name under the thank you section of the DVD booklet and you also get our undying gratitude forever and ever.
Included Items
Thank you in DVD booklet perk

Do you see anything there about that it also includes the DVD? I don't. I clarified and sent off the response.

I didn't sign up for the CDC side effects. I'm sure they're similar for everyone, whether none at all, mild, or the worst, which seems to be after the second shot where a few people complain about aches and flu-like symptoms that are gone in a day. But then I read others who say they had zero.

It is for them to track the reported side effects.  You can opt out at any time, or just ignore the text that will expire.

Zooming in one hour. Then I'm definitely sitting on my couch like so much fish and will put on something to watch and perhaps doze off to.

On this day in 1979, Sweeney Todd premiered on Broadway at the Uris Theater.

BK, how much better is the sound of Unpublished Cole Porter Vol. 2? That one was always wobbly, IMO. I know you can't get Karren Morrow to do a retake when her voice goes into a little static, I think that was on "I Know It's Not Meant for Me." But otherwise?

Somebody on Facebook posted a recording of the opening night of On the Twentieth Century, the night Madeline Kahn performed and was then fired. The few clips I've listened to so far are wonderful. Cullum's performance of The Legacy is outrageously good.
