Topic of the Day:  The Tony Awards®.  No other awards show is worthy.

;)

I have liked the streaming of the Drama Desk Awards. Nerdier, less flashy but fun to see some people from behind the scenes.

In a normal year I'll watch the Tony Awards, gawk at the Golden Globes, and dutifully sit through the Oscar shenanigans. I guess we haven't had a normal year in a while.

I haven't watched the Grammy or Emmy shows in years. I don't believe I've ever watched the Drama Desk Awards.

Even when the Kennedy Center is honoring someone I care about, I find there's something off-putting about the ceremony itself for my taste, and I've rarely tuned in except to watch a segment after the fact.

I'll seek out those other Fellini films. I certainly have plenty to get into in the meantime.

I was hoping the young woman who sang the national anthem might have been helped by having musical accompaniment. Sadly, that does not appear to be the case. I found her youtube channel.

I decided to put all my masks in the washer/dryer yesterday, and forgot to put them in the backpack when I left the house this morning.  I didn't realize that until I got out of my car to go into Starbucks to pick up my order.  I pulled up my hoodie around my nose and tied it off and went in to pick up the order.  Won't be making that mistake again for sure!

This image of The Donald looks eerily like the DVD cover of The Parallax View. As if we didn’t need any more conspiracy theories.

I have left the house without one before. I now just keep an extra in the car. I’m too forgetful.

I’m still gobsmacked by that. Just appalling. Roseanne Barr’s version might have been better.

I thought I was getting the Pfizer, but I just did my pre-vax homework, and I'm getting the Moderna.

So is the second dose of the vaccine just another dose of the same formula or is the second dose a different formula?

DR Jane, here you cannot just show up and get the vaccine. The helper has to also be registered. I didn't even know that helpers were allowed to go.  Right now my mom is signed up for March 11th. I am also signed up. But don't know yet if helpers can be any age. I'll try to find out before she goes.

DR Jrand70 - it is my understanding that all the doses are the same. With the Pfizer and the Moderna, your system just needs the two doses, spaced apart, to be fully effective.

I saw an article about how all the social distancing has meant that this winter's flu season has been significantly lighter. Makes sense.

We always have a spare mask in the car, but then ours are disposable.  Hoodies work.  I have done it for a quick cover up when passing people on the walkway and forgotten my mask.  I hope you weren't in Starbucks long.

Yep, 21 days minimum vs 28 days in between doses, something like that.

So a bit different then what DR Laura attempted to do.  I like the idea of the helper pre-registering.  Again, good luck.
