Happy Vaxxing to y'all today and tomorrow!

My second Pfizer dose will be a week from Wednesday. My, how time flies.

Time flies faster with Pfizer than with Moderna.

Yep, 21 days minimum vs 28 days in between doses, something like that.

That's it though it is ok to be off by a few days.

I decided to put all my masks in the washer/dryer yesterday, and forgot to put them in the backpack when I left the house this morning.  I didn't realize that until I got out of my car to go into Starbucks to pick up my order.  I pulled up my hoodie around my nose and tied it off and went in to pick up the order.  Won't be making that mistake again for sure!

We always have a spare mask in the car, but then ours are disposable.  Hoodies work.  I have done it for a quick cover up when passing people on the walkway and forgotten my mask.  I hope you weren't in Starbucks long.

DR JohnG, I had meant to ask earlier about the Verdi Masked Ball production.  Was it set in Boston or Sweden? Was the tenor's character portrayed as straight or gay with an interest in the page Oscar?

This production with Domingo from Salzburg puts the opera back at the Swedish court and restores the Swedish names.

Italian but modern dress. Very black and white but with a few flashes of color. Straight.  The page was obviously a woman, but so short she seemed to be overlooked by everyone. The rousing finale to the first scene was led by her. Maybe I was just seduced by the music.

It is a beautiful day here.  I attempted to share a photo Keith put on FB but alas, it is too large a file.

I got to CVS very quickly - no traffic at all. At eleven-fifteen I went in the store, after first running into Michael Kerker of ASCAP. Once in the store, I checked in both via text and person. I had to go to a separate window for no insurance people, but that only took ten seconds - nothing actually happened there. Then I waited. My appointment was 11:30 and they took me at 11:40. I had a nice shot lady and it was all very simple and save for the initial prick, it was fine. Then I waited for fifteen minutes, bought some I Be Profane in case of headaches, and was on my way home.

I decided to chance the bank and glad I did. There were only two people ahead of me, and a nice lady said I could cash the check in a big teller machine (different than the outdoor ATMs) so I gave that a try and it worked and I was out of there in five minutes. I walked over to my bank and there was no one there, either, so I was out of there in two minutes. A good day. Then I picked up the other important envelope - there are some packages due but I'll get them on the 'morrow.

Once home, I ordered food from Granville. And praying for no side effects.

I suggest not taking the "I Be Profane" for 72 hours unless you really need it.

Do you have any anti-itch cream in case you need it?

Topic of the Day:  The Tony Awards®.  No other awards show is worthy.

;)

I have liked the streaming of the Drama Desk Awards. Nerdier, less flashy but fun to see some people from behind the scenes.

I've never seen those!  I didn't even know that they streamed.

I was hoping the young woman who sang the national anthem might have been helped by having musical accompaniment. Sadly, that does not appear to be the case. I found her youtube channel.

I’m still gobsmacked by that. Just appalling. Roseanne Barr’s version might have been better.

Maybe, but only because Roseanne's "interpretation" was deliberate. ::)

I saw an article about how all the social distancing has meant that this winter's flu season has been significantly lighter. Makes sense.

I haven’t even  had a cold in over a year...

The problem with me is that I think I always have symptoms of everything. I thought I had the vaccine symptoms last Friday before taking the shot.
