I don't understand the world today.
I have work today: I need to print some invoices and pay some bills. I hope to spend most of the day lying about with the cats.
I don't understand the world today.
Me, too, neither.

In the middle of the night Thursday night, hoodlums broke into our building's underground parking garage, bashed in a vehicle window, hotwired it, and took off in the stolen vehicle for a joyride. The stolen vehicle being a specially equipped van for a quadriplegic who lives in our building. The stolen vehicle was in the adjacent parking spot to where our own car is parked. They also tried to jimmy the locked doors to the stairwells leading into the building itself.
The vehicle was found, abandoned, and has already been repaired and returned. But will the vandals try again?
I am cautiously optimistic:
The sinus issues I have been having the past 5 months seem to be going away. And the loss of taste and smell which I have endured for at least 10 months seem to be lifting.
I am tasting things again, and last night, the smell of a cup of coffee brewing nearly knocked me for a loop.
It's not 100 percent, but it's reappearing. I could not BE more relieved.
I don't understand the world today.

I blame the gazpacho police.
And now, the news.
Having not been driven for ten days, some of which were in our ungodly sub-freezing temperatures, Nathan's car wouldn't start this morning. (He has a work truck, and just hadn't used the personal car in that many days.) So out came the trusty BK-approved jump starter for its first job, and it performed magnificently! Hell, it feels like a member of the family now.
I'm recording this, but I haven't watched any episodes from season 2, yet.

How many were there to choose from in that garage?

That's atrocious, DR elmore3003!
It is s**wing here right now. I wish it would stop or at least move on to DR GINNY's house.

Frustrating experience at the pharmacy. When I placed the refill order, they asked if I wanted to pre-pay. So I put in all my card information online. But when I got to the pharmacy, they had no record of it. So I had to pay on site, and will now probably have been charged twice. Why can't anything be simple anymore?
#Rant over.
Have spent my afternoon going through tons of old papers. Whenever did I start hoarding mail items?
Enough, enough, enough!
Getting my life in order, after months of apathy and nose-blowing, is my goal.
I was going through a box of tissues nearly every day up until four days ago. I haven't had to blow my nose once since then.
it's freaky scary.
DR GINNY the s**w has stopped here and NONE of it stayed on the streets or the driveways - so it shouldn't be much of a mess.
Today was partly sunny and the high was 70. Here in Johnston SC, that is.
Happily, we see a return of Daylight Savings Time on March 13.
I would wear the mask and go. I do that for ushering.

I gather you mean Resident Alien. Have you watched Boba Fett?

No, I don't watch it. Boba Fett's on Disney+ right? I don't have that.
Well, this looks interesting. (I haven't read it all.)

DR ELMORE what are all those cat toys doing in the basement?

So do I. I'm working concessions in a couple of hours and will be wearing a new N95 mask.

I have a question for the theater-goers here.
I have tickets to the tour of The Band's Visit this afternoon. I have a vacation planned next week. Should I risk going into a theater? Is the show good enough to risk our trip?
I am vaccinated, but several vaccinated people I know have gotten covid, although it's the mild form. If we get sick we'll have to cancel our trip (unless we get the two-day covid).

Good news from MR BK on the book progress. I hope he spelled my name correctly in the dedication.

I don't think I would want to pre-pay for a prescription unless it was being delivered or picked up by someone else. I like to check my order is correct before I walk away from the pharmacy.
Back from the various and sundried things. She of the Evil Eye has come and gone. For a brief moment I thought I'd be able to tell you what's been going on, but that will have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Today was partly sunny and the high was 70. Here in Johnston SC, that is.
It is 63 degrees and sunny here, however, it is rather windy.

But George, didn't you usher and then get covid?
I am sorry, I forgot to wish you safe travels. I am very glad you arrived safely anyway. Have a wonderful time.
And I didn't have N95 masks before, so short of never leading my house again, I think I'm a bit more protected than I was before.

Do you have to use a leash to lead your house?

SPOO!! Damn spellcheck! >:( ...short of never leaving my house...

LOL! I liked it better the other way.
Any chuckles tonight, George?
At least one (Matt Koff) came out to the lobby after the show and sold cards for $5 to be able to download one of his albums.
I know what I wish I had back. It wasn’t a poster, but an original oilcloth theater banner for the 1940 movie serial, DICK TRACY VS CRIME INC.
I found it in a half-flooded basement of an old theater they were getting ready to bulldoze.
I sold it in a moment of weakness (and poverty) to a guy on e-Bay for $1,000.
