In the middle of the night Thursday night, hoodlums broke into our building's underground parking garage, bashed in a vehicle window, hotwired it, and took off in the stolen vehicle for a joyride. The stolen vehicle being a specially equipped van for a quadriplegic who lives in our building. The stolen vehicle was in the adjacent parking spot to where our own car is parked. They also tried to jimmy the locked doors to the stairwells leading into the building itself.

I hope they rot in……Pittsburg!

I have a question for the theater-goers here.

I have tickets to the tour of The Band's Visit this afternoon. I have a vacation planned next week. Should I risk going into a theater? Is the show good enough to risk our trip?

I am vaccinated, but several vaccinated people I know have gotten covid, although it's the mild form. If we get sick we'll have to cancel our trip (unless we get the two-day covid).

I hope you decided to go, Laura.

I am cautiously optimistic:

The sinus issues I have been having the past 5 months seem to be going away.  And the loss of taste and smell which I have endured for at least 10 months seem to be lifting.

I am tasting things again, and last night, the smell of a cup of coffee brewing nearly knocked me for a loop.

It's not 100 percent, but it's reappearing.  I could not BE more relieved.

I have forgotten, Ron, did you come down with CoVid?  Was that what caused the loss of taste and smell?

Good news from MR BK on the book progress.  I hope he spelled my name correctly in the dedication.

I thought BK decided to hold off on your dedication until after your Tony win.

I don't think I would want to pre-pay for a prescription unless it was being delivered or picked up by someone else.  I like to check my order is correct before I walk away from the pharmacy.

I am prepaying all of mine, except for my pain medication.  I have to pay in advance, or they won’t deliver them to me.

I am currently listening to Gene Pitney’s Greatest Hits CD.  I have always loved his voice, and this particular album.

Back from the various and sundried things. She of the Evil Eye has come and gone. For a brief moment I thought I'd be able to tell you what's been going on, but that will have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Today was partly sunny and the high was 70. Here in Johnston SC, that is.

It is 63 degrees and sunny here, however, it is rather windy.

It was supposedly 60 degrees, here in Puyallup, but it didn’t seem the warm when I went to the mailbox.

I would wear the mask and go. I do that for ushering.

So do I.  I'm working concessions in a couple of hours and will be wearing a new N95 mask.

But George, didn't you usher and then get covid?

Well, I did test positive after ushering, but I also worked and went out to eat before testing positive, so I could've been exposed just about anywhere.

Many!  There were four comedians, and they all are writers for The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

At least one (Matt Koff) came out to the lobby after the show and sold cards for $5 to be able to download one of his albums.

I was the first one there when he arrived.  I mentioned that I volunteered there at the Washington Center, and I asked if he would sign the card and he did!

I can’t think of any original Broadway or classic movie poster that I might love to own.

Possibly the original poster of REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE.  Then I could give it to my sister as the ultimate birthday present.

I know what I wish I had back.  It wasn’t a poster, but an original oilcloth theater banner for the 1940 movie serial, DICK TRACY VS CRIME INC.

I found it in a half-flooded basement of an old theater they were getting ready to bulldoze.
