Well, you've read the notes, the notes had outtakes, and now it is time for you to post until the outtakes cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ENCOMIUM!
-
Notes scrutinized. Blessed.
-
Congrats on the Film Hub approval, BK!
-
A Question for BK: I don't remember if this has been asked or answered, but will there be a CD of the SAMI soundtrack with the songs?
-
Good question!

~~~ALL THOSE NOTES VIBES~~~ for DR ChasSmith!
The story that Mitch McConnell fell is a myth. He has been out of the public eye for so long because he has been busy transitioning.
-
BK has his worst nightmare with an overly mayonnaised chicken salad.
My least favorite thing is those "salad" sandwiches that are made with too much mayo in the first place, and are RUNNY. Can't stand that. Especially with tuna salad.
I'd rather the mixture be made on the dry side (which I do at home, adding just a little bit of mayo at a time) and requiring some added mayo for lubrication when put on the sandwich. But it's also got to be Hellman's/Best. And of course it shouldn't be dripping, either.
It's a fine, fine line we walk with our foodstuffs.
-
And of course it shouldn't be dripping, either.
A very good rule for many things in life.
-
Sarcasm excepted.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
I think so.
-
Sarcasm excepted.
Which should be sold in a jar. Or, even better, a squeeze bottle.
Went to get the oil changed in the PT.....got there at 9:10 a.m. and drove out about 10:05 a.m.
I planned on going to the car wash, but I forgot my bag of quarters, so I had to go back home to get them.
One car now has new oil and is washed. Ready for summer.
Elmore, has Jack written any other shows like his revisal of The New Yorkers?
-
Singdaw, why are we still on page four?
Did you ever ponder that?
I can feel a new page coming on.
-
If we only believe in grilled cheese sandwiches.
-
And mocha marble cake.
Five!
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
Verily, DR John G., you have given me new things to ponder.
-
And I am grateful.
-
An idle mind is the devil's plaything.
-
I've never tested it out, but so I've heard.
-
Having a mind? Or merely having a idle one?
-
I had s grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. It was from the cafeteria here, which made me pleasantly surprised to learn they didn’t destroy it.
-
That IS a pleasant surprise!
-
Did they serve it with a bowl of creamy tomato soup?
-
Having a mind? Or merely having a idle one?
What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that it.
-Dan Quayle
-
I think I will have a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner.....with some roast beef on it.
And maybe a slice of tomato.
-
Would we could go back to a time when that was the worst the GOP could do.
-
That sounds delicious, DR Jrand72.
-
Computer mavens.....can you change the color of your cursor?
I keep losing mine in the vast whiteness of HHW and other sites.
-
I'm not a maven, but my computer, running Windows 10, I believe, allows me (in Settings) to adjust the size and color of the cursor.
-
And I do sometimes curse at the cursor.
-
Does that make me the cursee?
-
Does that make me the cursee?
A cursory glance says no.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY -
Did you ever meet June Lockhart or Jon Provost?
Yes, both. Jon went to LACC VERY briefly and was in Carousel in the ensemble when I did that. And I knew June's daughter and so met June at least twice, if memory serves.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
Elmore, has Jack written any other shows like his revisal of The New Yorkers?
Yes, he wrote the book for the musical Time and Again, based on Jack Finney's wonderful book, that played in San Diego and off-Broadway with music by Skip Kennon, he's worked on a small New Orleans musical, and I think he co-wrote the book for thast Encores! production that contained scenes from Wildcat, All American, Milk and Honey, and others. He's currently workshopping a pops concert based on his musical theatre book at Manhattan School of Music musical theatre program.
-
So I am home from all my jaunts. My podiatrist is happy, my ophthalmologist says I have 20/20 vision in the eye that was operated on last October and 20/50 vision in the latest eye. She said my cornea is still swollen and my vision will continue to improve. I can already see today's right eye sees better than it did on Monday, so I'm not unhappy.
-
Then Access-a-Ride took me to Cafe 82 where I had a lovely lunch with Jack. He told me all about the theatre he's seen, and I told him all about the things I would love to see. We laughed and dished a lot. It was quite delightful. I remain quite embarrassed about my early and too public dislike for him, and I must say that during the pandemic, while he and I were trying to get that recording project off the ground, I had the most wonderful time working with him.
-
Did they serve it with a bowl of creamy tomato soup?
No. I had a tiny side salad.
For The New Yorkers, he had a nice Herbert Fields vibe going in his book. Silly and never interfered too much with the songs.
Golly! 11 pages!
I attended our seniors luncheon today.
On my way there, an EMS truck went screaming down our main town street (Calhoun Street). I thought it sad that someone somewhere was hurting.
As I was crossing that street, I notice the EMS truck turned toward my ultimate destination -- the Johnston First Baptist Church.
I had a premonition that it might have been because something had happened to the organizer of the luncheon (who isn't in the best of health).
When I parked, I noted the EMS was parked at a side door of the recreation center where we have our lunches.
Sure enough, as I walked in someone saw me and said, "Miss Nellie fell." Miss Nellie uses a walker and has had enough of being housebound, which she was from the start of the pandemic until the first of this year. She has been more active this year and re-started our seniors luncheons back in February.
As it turned out, the paramedics checked her out and found her scraped up on both arms, but otherwise fine. She did not want to go to hospital, so she remained and had lunch with us, but one of her legs was raised with an ice pack on her left ankle.
She said she lost her balance and felt foolish. I was relieved she was relatively unharmed, although she is likely very sore now and may continue to be over the remainder of the week.
All of that said, my chicken salad and croissants were a hit, and I did not have to bring anything back home with me.
Huzzah!
-
That's all I've got.
I do not live a very exciting life...not that I ever did.
Still, I managed a nap this afternoon, and I had a very delicious roasted vegetable plate for supper. Roasted asparagus, okra, squash and potatoes.
So GOOD!!!
Page eleven - that's what I'M talkin' about.
Started watching Mare of Easttown. I know this was much beloved by one and all, but thus far after one episode I'm not sure it's for me, but we'll see. I went to watch the second episode but the Firestick won't load anything at the moment. Internet's fine, so I cleared some app caches and unplugged and we'll see if that helps. It does this every now and then.
Making a little pasta, which is better than going and getting some six hundred calorie dessert, which is what I was about to do.
-
Today was my last physical therapy session. No more.
Congrats, John!
-
Ron, that's a great story and I'm glad that Miss Nellie is okay!
-
HOWEVER, we could be on Page 17 if you had broken up your ONE big post into several small posts! ;)
Glad your friend was ok, Ron Pulliam. Reminded me of when my sister and her friend (who is now my bro-in-law) followed a fire truck on a lark one Friday night, and it was headed unfortunately to his house which was burning down.
-
Must write some notes.
-
I really must.
There are no two ways about it.
There are no three ways about it.
Have watched two episodes of Mare of Easttown. Universally loved and I get that if you haven't seen any of the other shows that are exactly like it, especially a couple of Brit series featuring a female detectives or the Nordic shows.
But you did, Blanche, you did, you did go down a rabbit hole.
-
I did not.
-
And now I am here.
-
Not really understanding how we're on page eleven when we were clearly on page twelve when last I was here.
-
Not really. Wishful thinking.
-
I mean, haven't we been on page eleven for about three HOURS?
-
I think we have.
-
And George has gone down some rabbit hole again.
And George has gone down some rabbit hole again.
I warned ya!
All day today, I was thinking that tomorrow was going to be Friday! :o
-
Gratuitous Post #333!!
-
But we must be close.
-
Sadly, it's not...it's only going to be Thursday.
-
See?
-
Tomorrow isn't Friday?
-
But we must be close.
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. ;)
-
Tomorrow is Thursday. Actually, it's Thursday right now.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
Tomorrow is Thursday. Actually, it's Thursday right now.
But we're still on Wednesday's day of posts. ::)
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
They're there.
-
They really are.
I wouldn't kid you.
-
You can't kid a kidder.
-
You Do Something to Me.
You can't kid a kidder.
Unless you're Margot Kidder.
