Well, you've read the notes, the notes were riveting, and now it is time for you to post until the riveting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DILIGENT!
-
And with that, Kritzer World has been read. :)
-
Now, back to Don Quixote.

Good morning, all!
-
Just as I was turning out the lights at 9:00 last night, my friend and DR Laura's, Ben Davis, called to say hello. We talked for about an hour and 15 minutes. We pass each other on Facebook, butI hadn't seen him since the Encores! production of Call Me Madam.
-
When I hung up the phone, I was no longer sleepy. I passed out sometime after 11:30. I slept poorly, mostly because of a restless Stella, who would lie down next to me for a bit, then get restless. She was really working my last nerve.
-
I'm keeping an eye on the clck. I need to speak to someone at my bank as soon as they open their Customer Service phones.
-
Phone vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Congrats to the newly spiffy DR RODZINSKI on his new millstone.
-
I keep thinking it is Tuesday.
-
I am going to the WalMart Grocery this morning and then a drop by the Dollar(25) Store.
Then I will come home, put things away and do an online check in Great Clips and mosey over there to get my hairs cut.
-
I got a Customer Service rep immediately, but thanks to the piece of shit bank's being closed on Monday, so I could not discuss a questionable transaction, the bank closed my debit card. I am now unable to do any online banking for 5-7 business days until the new debit card arrives.
But . . . I could get the card faster for a $30 charge. I told the rep that was fucking ridiculous and hung up on her. So much for a hot temper and a frustration meltdown.

Me, too!

Me, too!
I keep thinking I’m a lady of leisure and can loll about in my recliner drinking coffee
Guess I better get my backside in gear and go to work

Congratulations to Rodzinski on your new millstone!

Larry is just 8 posts away from 68,000!

That was an enjoyable story about your trip and visit to the county clerk, vixmom!

Sorry to hear the bank couldn't be more helpful! :(

Good morning, all.

Had the strangest dream. A group of French filmmakers from the Nouvelle Vague had been assigned to help doctors remove eye tumors (too much Bunuel before bed?). I was assigned to assist Claude Chabrol, who was perfectly at ease performing the surgery. Except … he couldn’t get the tumor out once he had made the cut. I was able to do that for him. The patient’s problem was solved. Not all of the other directors were so fortunate.
-
Congratulations, Rodzinski, on your milestone.
-
Where are the next 8,000 posts?
-
I need to get up early today and go to church to work at the food pantry.
-
Today we assemble the food. Tomorrow we distribute it.
-
Onward!
-
Two!
-
But I am tired from all that surgery.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Alas (also see: a lass), yes, it’s indeed Wednesday.
-
A week from today I, myself - me, DR ChasSmith - will be going under Buñuel’s knife.
Will you be assisting, DR John G.?
-
New avatars, millstones, and egg sandwiches, oh my!
-
I won’t be, ChasSmith. Sending vibes that all is a success.
-
Any time, BK.
-
DR Elmore, I’m sorry to hear about the debit card. Is this the same card or account that’s gotten compromised in the past?
-
Good morning, friends.
-
CONGRATULATIONS to DR Rodzinski on his lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
-
Today we assemble the food. Tomorrow we distribute it.
That's fabulous!

DR Elmore, I’m sorry to hear about the debit card. Is this the same card or account that’s gotten compromised in the past?
It sure is!

Kitty cleanup is finished. Time to make a bed.

"126 Guests are viewing this board"
This topic says zero guests, yesterday's topic says zero guests.
So what are the 126 Guests viewing?
-
Are they all reading BK's notes?
-
Today is the day.
You read it here first.
Today, I go out to purchase a new refrigerator.
Mine began biting the dust two months ago and totally died three weeks ago.
Have been doing without since, buying only frozen items I can cook from frozen (I have a standup freezer and a chest freezer).
It's time, lawse yes, it's time. M-o-o-n that spells "it's time"?
-
All of that said, I slept exceedingly well.
i woke up refreshed.
And now I must hie me to the post office and then to the town of Batesburg to the Economy Furniture store from where I plan on procuring my new refrigeration machine.
-
DR RON PULLIAM I bought a new Frigidaire a few years ago and it is very nice.
But the freezer motor is a bit noisy.
-
Check reviews on the Lowe's website - folks let you know what's what.
-
Getting the new card vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
I think I like DR VIXDAD's sandwich.
-
I have a new haircut and I feel pretty......etc.
-
I think I like DR VIXDAD's sandwich.
Except for the ketchup , yes.
-
DR Elmore, I’m sorry to hear about the debit card. Is this the same card or account that’s gotten compromised in the past?
t sure is!
Do you carry that card, and any others, in one of these? Or in a wallet that has this protection built in?
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=rfid+sleeve&crid=3FFH9V4RX3Q13&sprefix=rfid+sl%2Caps%2C100&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_2_7
We use those paper sleeves and they last quite a long time. All I can say is that I haven't had a card compromised in the few years since Kristi ordered these for all of us. Of course I know card numbers can get out when the credit card company or someone else is hacked, but in walking around stores anywhere, especially in the big cities, etc., I think this is a must.
-
DR JOHN G the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates that you feel that you could make a film better than many that you watch....and that indeed some directors are over rated.
-
I always wonder, at the point of payment somewhere, if someone around me is going to zap that info off my card anyway. You can't protect it 100%, but I think this covers it about 98% of the time that you're out and about.
-
DR RODZINSKI I keep my fries in an airtight Tupperware like container.
When it's time to eat some, I bring them out and let them set on a paper towel for a few minutes, then microwave them for a bit.
I keep my sandwiches in a similar container, still wrapped in their papers, and do the same thing before I microwave them.

Well, it looks like the par-tay is over. They're calling for some of that s-stuff Saturday night into Sunday morning, and it looks like there'll be no escaping it this time.
-
From Singdaw:
Took the advise of several DRs here and thoroughly enjoyed Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris this evening.
I am not surprised you thoroughly enjoyed it.
-
From DR Rodzinski:
Unthank you! :)
;D
-
Rodzinski congrats on your new millstone.
-
DR George I wonder if you will now begin to see egg sandwiches where you hadn't noticed them before.
-
Skip got some terrible news today, that his supervisor where he does music work with disabled and elderly patients passed away suddenly yesterday.
-
And there was an interview online with her: "Interview with Nancy Sondag: Drama therapy for persons with dementia on a secured unit in an assisted living facility during a pandemic"
If anyone wants to read it, googling "interview with Nancy Sondag" will bring it up.
Nancy was also the co-leader of the Hearts and Voices program during the AIDS crisis. Hearts and Voices was a program which brought cabaret to AIDS units in hospitals.
-

It's possible, but I'm sure I've never seen them on a menu around here, at least. I think I would've noticed that.

Egg sandwiches are a Long Island staple.
Generally served on a roll, standard is 2 eggs ( scrambled or fried as you specify) bacon or ham or sausage, cheese and then as specified salt, pepper, ketchup
I myself prefer eggs over easy ( don’t break the yolk, don’t cut the roll!) with bacon or ham and Muenster cheese…no condiments
Vixdad is a scrambled eggs with sausage, American cheese and ketchup
Would an Egg McMuffin or Sausage McMuffin with Egg qualify as an egg sandwich?

When we moved to Oregon I discovered most bagel places did not make egg bagels. Often, having no clue what an egg bagel was, the person at the counter thought I wanted an egg sandwich.

Oh my DR FREDDIE I am so sorry.
What a great legacy she has.
-
As per my NY resolution, as I get new email notifications of bills, I am signing up for AUTO PAY.
I did that last year for many of my bills....and I hope to do so for the rest of them this year.
It is much more convenient.....saving of stamps, etc.
I am being dragged into the 21st century.

Oh my, DR Freddie. How sad. Condolences to Skip. What an amazing legacy, though!

I will accept egg sandwiches of ANY variety. They all sound good to me.

Sorry about your bank card, DR elmore3003. What a nuisance.

My sympathies for Skip and his colleagues.

Slices of boiled egg in orange gelatin, cut in slabs and placed on an everything bagel with Miracle Whip on top?
-
I just made that up. Please do not let it be a real thing.
-
I’m funny that way.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
We unloaded, sorted and organized a ton of food today. We got extra since we were closed last week.
-
So many baked goods from the supermarkets, so many bags of salad, a pallet of sweet potatoes, another of carrots, a third of cabbages. Plus meats, canned goods, fruits, etc.

Well. So long as it's ORANGE gelatin, and not lime. I'm in.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep - rough night, didn't sleep more than an hour or so, so I finally fell asleep around seven in the morning.
-
The weatherperson on TV says RAIN in Texas.
-
Condolences to Skip.
-
Need more input on Q&A unless it's simply of no interest.
-
Must get cracking. Futzing and finessing to do, hot dogs to be eaten.
-
That stinks, BK. And probably doesn't help your writing any.
-
Not to mention your health.
-
I just made that up. Please do not let it be a real thing.
I am so relieved that you really do not want to eat that ;D
-
Condolences to Skip.
Thanks, Bruce.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Condolences to Skip from me, too.
-
Sorry to hear about your debit card, Larry. What an inconvenience. Banks are cracking down on anything that could be construed as suspicious activity and are being overzealous, IMO.
-
I just lost a post. And it was sooo important!
-
Condolences to Skip from me, too.
Thanks, Jeanne.

Yesterday was a strange day. I was reviewing my checking account when I noticed some irregularities. I had made a charitable donation and charged it to my bank credit card. It showed up on that page, just as it should. But it also showed up on my checking account— as a debit. I kept looking at it, trying to make sure it wasn’t me. Just then the laundry beckoned and I logged off to take care of it. When I returned I logged back into my checking account and everything was as it should be. I was glad I didn’t need to call the bank, but nevertheless it made me uncomfortable. I’ve never had this happen before.
-
That is strange. I'm glad all is good.
-
Then there was a second baffling financial news transaction, but that proved to me overlooking something. Sigh.
-
As for sleep, 3 hours here, fourth day in a row of poor nights. I’m falling asleep as I write this.
So, TTFN.
-
I did not purchase a new refrigeration unit.
I window-shopped and fell in love with a French door model that is the perfect width and depth for my space...and had a bottom loading freezer drawer. Only drawback: It is two inches higher than the cabinet currently abutted against the top of my present refrigerator.
I think I may be doing some deconstructive sawing this week to make the space work for me.
Is this new model worth the effort? Oh hells yes. It's perfect for me.

Good luck with the sawing. We have a very difficult spot to fit a refrigerator. If you buy it, please share a photo.
-
Today we purchased a light weight Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner. Keith says it is wonderful.
-
I’m watching the last Bunuel movie in this set, That Obscure Object of Desire. It’s hilarious. I don’t know if I have the patience for it tonight.

I say any evening except Saturday works for me.
And I think it is a wonderful idea.

DR RON PULLIAM I had the same problem when I purchased my refrigerator.
We had a French Door Refrigerator for a few years.....but it seemed so small on each side it was rather a both.
HOWEVER I wanted the bottom freezer drawer.....but when I looked at the new units....they were all too tall for the space I had....so I had to go with a top freezer.
If and when this Frigidaire goes, so will the small cabinet above the space so that I can get a freezer drawer.....so now it's a race between me and the fridge which goes first.

Re the Q & A:
Sunday and Monday evenings would be my first chance, due to rehearsals and a concert. After that comes cataract surgery, so Tuesday and Wednesday are out.
Not much help, probably, but it’s a start.

The Frigidaire vs DR Jrand73 - ?
The excitement!!
I can hear office pools buzzing, and bookies taking frantic calls at pay phones, as we speak!

At least DH Keith likes the new vacuum cleaner.

I had a dental follow up this morning. The surgeon is very pleased with how things are looking. Most of the stitches have dissolved. Things are getting back to normal. I was pleased that I never had to take the narcotic for pain that was prescribed.

The days are supposed to be lengthening bit by bit, but it still seems dark pretty early.

Of course, we haven't seen the sun around here in days.

In some the the northern Scandinavian countries, they don't see direct sunlight for months on end.

That would be weird.

Ate hot dogs. Have futzed and finessed but have added about five pages or more with more adding coming up, so nothing beyond what I'd done but a lot added. By the end of the evening, I'll have done ten or more new pages.

So few pages at such an hour!

The unenviable task of moving us up a page, but to a page number reviled by our host.

Yet it must be done. More pages is better than fewer.

No big surprises among the Epstein miscreants.
-
And they’ll all say they just were hanging with him for his financial acumen and sweet plane.
-
What a world.
-
I was at my mom's earlier tonight.
-
I showed her how to use the new phone that I got her for Christmas...sort of.
-
She said that it was a bit overwhelming, so she'll be practicing for a while until she is able to learn it.
-
I'll help her with any questions.
-
And now...

Starring John Raitt and Anne Jeffreys and Bert Wheeler of Wheeler & Woolsey fame.
-
Also of Bert Wheeler’s Magic Shop fame.
-
Abe Burrows did his best.
-
A young Herbert Ross choreographed.
-
Charlotte Rae had a small role.
-
91 performances only.
-
But enough for Capitol Records to make an LP.
-
Music and lyrics by Ralph Blane.
-
Gratuitous Post #190! ;)
-
Ralph “Clang, Clang, Clang Goes the Trolley” Blane.
-
Ralph “Buckle Down Winsockie” Blane.
-
Gratuitous Post #190! ;)
Outrageously gratuitous!
-
Does anyone put on “Best Foot Forward” anymore?
-
Would seem to be a fun show for a young cast.
-
BK likely crashed asleep.
-
Gonna get us within reach of an 8th page.
-
If BK we’re here, he might say new notes are up.
-
Then he might say up are new notes.
-
He might note that he’s read them.
-
And remind us, in fact, that he wrote them.
-
If BK were here, that’s just what might happen.
-
Three Wishes for Jamie not to be confused with Two Mules for Sister Sara.
-
Or Three Days of the Condor
-
Or The Seven Little Foys
-
Ralph “Clang, Clang, Clang Goes the Trolley” Blane.
That's my favorite song from Meet Me in St. Louis.
-
Or it’s sequel, The Seven Teenage Foys.
-
Does anyone put on “Best Foot Forward” anymore?
And I really like that score. :)
-
If BK were here, that’s just what might happen.
But that's a big IF... ;)
-
Or the 7 Faces of Dr. Lao
-
Or The 3 Faces of Eve
-
And that’s good for the 8th Page.
-
Three Wishes for Jamie not to be confused with Two Mules for Sister Sara.
Or Threw Wishes for Christmas (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3B2dPH5yac). :)
-
And that’s good for the 8th Page.
Hoo and Ray!
-
Good night, G. My work is done.
-
I hope we’ve learned nothing here tonight.
-
I do hope the world knows that HHW is the Algonquin Round Table of the internet.
-
I hope you're right, Rod! ;D
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
It's looking like early Monday evening for the Q&A will work for everyone?
-
And George, I hope you've written an Amazon review.
