Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the culprit and the culprit was the coil, and now it is time for you to post until the coiled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CAPTIVATING!
-
Notes navigated. Nailed.
-
Wishing you luck with the shuffling off of that mortal AC coil.

Meg Foster. Never really superb, was she ever?

Meg Foster. Never really superb, was she ever?
She was in A Different Story, which was one of the very first LGBTQ+ movies that I had ever seen...and I hated it. :P
-
Even though I was probably in high school when I saw it, and more than likely hadn't seen any other gay movie, the fact that these two supposedly gay characters essentially turned straight just bugged the crap out of me! I remember seeing interviews on the daytime talk shows in the '80s where they'd ask gay people if they'd take a pill to be straight, and most said that they would (it was a different time, I know). But I knew even back then that I wouldn't. I may have been in the closet (especially in school) and an introvert, but I absolutely had no problem being gay and had no interest in being turned straight.
-
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Good morning, all!
-
BK, how old is that A/C?
-
Around 2:00, I woke with terrible leg cramps, and that led to about two hours of no sleep and aggravation. When the alarm rang at, I turned it off and went back to bed, playing with the cats, nodding, dozing, and wishing I could stay there all day.
-
I'm not sure what's on the agenda for today. Now that Once Upon a Mattress has opened, Joshie is on a well-deserved vacation, so I won't know anything more about this possible job until he returns. I need to talk to Doug Fullington about an orchestra suite from the ballet.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.

-
Who decides these things?

Slept pretty well.

We're supposed to get thunderstorms and 2 inches of rain starting at around 5:00PM.

Good morning, all.
-
Well, it's a Sunday once again.
No, wait. Not Sunday. It's only Saturday!
And thank gawd it's REALLY only Wednesday, even if it doesn't feel that way at all. You see, Kristi and Nathan are leaving for Providence, RI, where she participates in an annual H.P. Lovecraft festival, so right now we're all here and that immediately makes it feel like a weekend.
-
Nice gaslighting, DR ChasSmith!
-
George: Wow! Your kitchen re-do is something I would love to have done.
Are you and Shelly available after you finish yours????
-
It's also a damned good thing it's only Wednesday because I have this big student recital looming this weekend. Lordy, let's not get to that too soon. I've still got work to do on it. Got a lot done yesterday, but there's plenty more.
-
BK: I am curious to know if the A/C man has ever suggested to you that your house would not take so long to cool down if you kept your thermostat set at a maximum temperature. To wit, set it at 75 degrees. Any time it gets warmer, the A/C should kick in. Otherwise, it won't be running full time.
When I lived in Indianapolis (in the olden days), there was a day before my folks were going to visit me when the outside air was really fresh and nice breezes were blowing. So, I turned off my central A/C and opened all my windows to freshen the place up.
What I didn't realize, however, was that when things heated up, turning the A/C back on did not cool the apartment as quickly as i hoped. My folks visited for three days, and it was rather warm and uncomfortable all three days with the A/C going full blast. Management later told me it takes a long time for apartments to cool down, and they would not recommend doing what I did again.
Of course, that was in the early 80s and A/C units are more efficient nowadays.

Good morning, all.

More modern major miracles for BK!
-
Meg Foster. Never really superb, was she ever?
As Hester Prynne in a TV version of The Scarlet Letter.
-
Nice link DR ELMORE.
-
Now I'm hungry. Nice photo in the notes.
-
Modern major miracle, tree crunching, and coil vibes for MR BK.
-
I like to go to websites and look at pictures of houses for sale in my town....and all over the country....I never thought of watching videos.
-
Nice gaslighting, DR ChasSmith!
Speaking of gaslighting, last night BK wrote: "I was reading an article earlier and there was a brief mention that I do not care for page seven."
Maybe this "I do not care for page seven" situation has been a result of some form of internet gaslighting, that unnamed people on the net have been insinuating that BK does not care for page seven as if it were a fact, so BK started to believe it himself?
It's a theory.
-
Maybe some of the 139 Guests who are viewing this board have some thoughts about gaslighting? :)
-
My question for ASK BK DAY? Is there an actor or actress in film or television that you have a hard time understanding when they speak?
For me - there are two actresses from the 60's that I have never been able to figure out what they are saying:
Claudia Cardinale and Genevieve Page.
-
M & M's company is buying Cheez-its.
-
Rodzinski, looking back over the details, that whole "Killing Me Softly..." songwriting saga seems like it may never be resolved.
-
People may conceivably have said what they originally said to provide a more interesting story.
-
M & M's company is buying Cheez-its.
Would a combination snack of cheese crackers and chocolate work? Maybe some form of trail mix?
-
Not for me......
-
More coil vibes and repair vibes for BK!
-
Hollingsworth Morse also directed several episodes of The Adventures of Superman.

Who should play Hester Prynne in a Margaret Atwood-inspired remake of The Scarlet Letter?

There has been much grass cutting in the neighborhood since 7 a.m., and now it is my grass being cut.

From Bruce:
Ah, I was taking it to the post office tomorrow. I'll hold it until you're back.
Rodzinski, good timing on asking to hold the book until you return.
-
From DR Rodzinski:
One day I’ll get to see her onstage. My niece is in this one as well.
This would have been a good one to go to. Hopefully there will be other chances to seem them together in a show.
-
DR Rodzinski I hope you are flying non-stop from Vancouver. I like that airport, and non-stop is always the best.
-
When we flew to and from Japan we went through Vancouver and then non-stop to Tokyo.
-
We still needed one more flight between Tokyo and Osaka.

I have been the victim of AT&T and Norton Computer Security scams. For the past month, I have been getting "invoices"ion the amounts of $300-500 from companies supposedly representing AT&T and Norton, claiming I must pay these invoices or that the invoice has been processed. I ignore them and store them in my SCAM email forder, but I'm getting really tired of it.

The singing of the great opening scene was crisp and moving, but the staging had a mistake. The first class passengers had to descend a staircase and the women went first. Etiquette demands a man go first down stairs. I'm this case, the two women are pregnant or elderly, which makes it even more noticeably wrong.
