DR Michael S - As others have pointed out already, Amy Powers is considered a co-writer of "Sunset Blvd." In fact, IIRC, her credit is a result of a lawsuit. You can Google the specifics.

Don't you suppose the situation was resolved out of court with Miss Powers getting her due share of royalties and credit and everything closed to avoid further embarrassment to Lloyd Webber?

If you want to know more, ask Miss Powers through her website. While I'm sure she's told her friends plenty, I bet her answer, while she's giving her accountant the taxable income from her royalties last year, would probably be something like "none of your business."

I had not picked up a 2012 calendar yet & asked Craig to do so when we went to the mall on Friday. I wanted a cat calendar with a photo of a painting each month. He found one on sale for only $4.00.

Oh...

I liked CHINGLISH. And it was especially interesting seeing it with my friend, Yosh, who is Chinese. He picked up one subtle(?) running joke: the music - Chinese pop - that played during the scene transitions all had lyrics based on what a nagging mother would say.

Today's going to be a day. Theater Artists Olympia is having a work party to help with set painting and a bit of construction. I think that they're going to feed us, so that'll be nice. Today's work party was, evidently, the most successful (meaning, the most attended) work party that they've ever had! We had about 10 people there and we got a lot of work done...some people cut wood, I helped paint and screw plywood together, everyone helped assemble set pieces, etc. We did get fed some pizza, which was quite good. I got there at about 10:30 am and left at about 4:30 pm. I came home, watched a bit of TV up in my bedroom, took a nap for about an hour, then watched some more TV. I finally decided to turn on my computer to check my e-mail and ketchup on HHW.

Tomorrow will be Work Party, Part 2.
