Oy.  I am out of the Poet Laureate loop.  When did we last vote on this?

Trouble is, there's a guy running for Poet Laureate who keeps trying to focus on the issues - meter, imagery, rhyme, allusions, etc. and the incumbant Poet Laureate's surrogates started lying about the other guy's early poetic heroism overseas (the incumbant Poet Laureate didn't even GO overseas) so all anyone ever talks about is whether these scurrilous charges are true.  Instead of the issues.  Or the incumbant's record.   >:(

Sigh...

I should have turned in earlier.  But now all this talk of poetry, as it always does, has made me by turns wistful, sullen, teary and oddly, mutedly joyful.  I usually try to put my feelings to bed before I climb in.  But thanks to George Faludy, Ezra Pound, Billy Collins, they are running all over the place.  Beddy-Bye Land will not be a peaceful place tonight.  Sigh...

Dan TM - What the heck, sometimes it's nice to go to bed "wistful, sullen, teary and oddly, mutedly joyful." Sleep well.

I'm back and must sit on my couch like so much fish.  Tonight's show was just about sold out and the performance went VERY well.

I went to see a play this evening at the Pasadena Playhouse, Dear Readers.  It was called Vincent in Brixton, and its chief characteristic was its soporific effect.

Panni doesn't pay enough attention to this here message board since floop has been mentioned and discussed and even pictured many many times.

I'm a floop at paying attention, I guess.
