DR Sandra is frosting a cake and singing "Moses Supposes" whilst tap dancing in socks.

Well, now, you can't very well sing "Moses Supposes" WITHOUT tap-dancing, can you? And considering that I can neither sing nor tap-dance, I was pretty good.

And in other news, I will soon be eating cake.

Back from lunching with Miss Tammy Minoff (a lunch meeting, really).  Must now begin watching as many DVDs as I can sit through today.

DR Tomovoz - Continued Rest & Recovery Vibes!

*Would DR Colin's Orange Cake help right now?

;)
It's worth a try! I'll mention it to the Chef. Cake helps with everything. As does Icecream.

Cake AND Ice Cream, yes.

DR MATTH which costume is your favorite?  I hope you have a couple of nice hats!  I love costumes!  I hate doing costumes for a director who doesn't KNOW costumes - no, I take that back, I hate doing costumes for a director who THINKS he knows costumes. hehehehe

JRand, I'm very happy to hear that your Mom is alright.  Whew!  They can scare us, can't they?

I'm also glad to see both you Tom and Elmore posting more and more. I hate to think of either of you in pain.

It is HOT right now.  BTW did I miss anyone answering my question about what the weather is like in NYC in October?

How is the weather there, DR TomovOZ?

Yes, DRGINNY - the Indy 500 used to be quite a BIG DEAL.  All of downtown was decorated, there were festivals and parties every day of the month in May, there was a Miss 500 Pageant and the Queen had her court, and everyone in Indiana was excited because the eyes of the world were on us, and MANY celebrities visited here.

NOW, Mr Tony Hulman, son of the man who made the Indianapolis 500 a BIG DEAL....a wholesale grocer from Terre Haute...has decided he wants to have a WORLD CLASS FORMULA ONE race track and hobnob with the rich and famous - although he and his drunk mother will always be hoi polloi.  Mr TH, JR, has turned it into just another race on just another day.

Wet and cool DR JRand. We need the rain and it is after all, "Autumn". I'm not really strong enough to be allowed outdoors yet.. It's like being looked after by Louise Fletcher here.
DR Danise.  Still a painfree existence. I live on a higher plain.

DRDanise, the weather in early October is lovely, still warm but much cooler after the hellish summer.

I just finished my third Stephanie Barron mystery using Jane Austen as a Restoration sleuth.  I'm now back from buying the next three in the series.  They are quite wonderful and I recommend them highly.  I've taken two Tylenol with codeine in the past 30 minutes and I feel quite pleasant.

This afternoon I watched MURDEROUS MAIDS, a French film about the insane Papin sisters killing their employer in LeMans, 1933.  I liked it very much, but I think Wendy Kesselman's play "My Sister in This House" and her screenplay for SISTER, MY SISTER are better tellings of the case.

Jrand I hope your mother continues to improve, and quickly.  Good health vibes to her.

Ginny how wonderful your manager sent you an accommodating email.

Elmore I’m sorry your day wasn’t better :'(

Have you found anyone with a multizone DVD player so that you can watch Caroline O'Connor?

Danise last year it was chilly the first day and I purchased a warm scarf from a vender on the street.  From then on I wore it a few times at night.  I must have had a light weight jacket with me and a thin lining under a sweater.  I was also sorry I had not taken a summer top with me which I would have enjoyed my last day in NY.  Of course I had only a fraction of the clothes with me then what you travel with.  Knowing I would be taking the train and walking to my hotel from the train station I traveled with just one small roll-on suitcase.  If I stay longer this time I might have to add another small bag.

I am still reeling from DISCO DANCER...the SHOWGIRLS of Bollywood cinema!

Slum boy Anil becomes popular singer/dancer Jimmy, much to the disappointment of popular singer/dancer Sam and his father.

Mr. Oberi: Now Jimmy will never sing. He's got guitar phobia.

Sam: Guitar phobia?

Mr. Oberi: Yes. I mean he has a fear for the guitar.  A guitar killed his mother.

Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?  I am now finished watching what I feel is one of the all-time unfunny movies - Team America: World Police.  I shall have much to say on this peurile fiasco.  Now onto Dead Ringers of David Cronenberg.

No, DRTomovoz, but I did get a lovely email this week from Caroline and her husband Barrie.

At last I'm "Back To The Future". Yes DRs I have caught up on all those funny one liners etc from my "missing" week.

I really appreciate all the good thoughts that were sent my way.  It is is so good to be home.  BTW - many of the one liners (think TCB here!) certainly do not lesson their effect when read a week after their posting. The smiles are good medicine.

How?  Did it fall on her?  Was she electrocuted when she plugged it in?  Did she look at a chord chart and leap out a window?  Inquiring minds want to know!

Just returned from a five hour tech rehearsal with my dear son.  Actually, it was about an hour and a half of sitting around, an hour of pigging-out on food supplied by the theater, and two and a half hours of tech.

Well....GuitarPhobia can be no more deadly than The Ninja Chewing Gum Bullet and the Octopus Pot - two deadly weapons used in THE BLACK TIGHT KILLERS.

DRELMORE you must see this movie....I don't remember if MR BK has seen it or not.  What great COLOR design - and you can bet that if one of the Black Tight Girls gets mixed up with hero Honda, she is going to end up naked or dead OR BOTH!!!
