As for the Topic of the Day...
As DR Matthew alluded to - as did BK, himself, the Notes - this "biz" is filled with people who will do you wrong - and, unfortunately, a lot of it is done "on purpose".
I used to hold everything in. Very passive. That used to work for a while, but then I just realized I had to let things go somehow or another. So...
Sometimes, I do just let things go.
Other times, I will confront the person. *If the person in question happens to be someone in the "biz" who is a true "up and comer", then I will take them aside, and tell them what I thought of their slight - but I couch it as advise rather than a reprimand. -And, of course, I do this since I was, believe it or not, taken aside once or twice back then. Let's just say that my eagerness at times was a bit too eager.
However, I rarely forget. Anything. Heck, I remember what I had for lunch during important meetings - and what my lunch partner was eating too. And what the weather was like!
-And it's always been hard for me to hide or disguise my indecision, apprehension and/or suspicion when I have to deal with someone who has done me wrong in the past.
On the bright side... At least in my line of work, I usually only have to deal with the person for a few weeks at a time, and then it's "another openin', another show,"... another cast.
Of course, there have been those times when I've "accidentally" hit the transpose button on the keyboard....
