DR JASON is there such a thing as a Choreography Guide for Pippin that is available from your place?

Hmm, I've never heard them called that.

I found it on Fox News' website, though I'm not sure where. Do a Google search for 'celebrity uni-names' and you should find it. They're also known as Bennifer II and BenJen.

Sadly, no. I don't think MTI would ever officially sanction it, but my unofficial take on it is that we assume everyone doing PIPPIN has or has access to the videorecording that's out on DVD and 'references' that resource.  Either that or the Fosse choreography is copyrighted, but in that case we generally provide choreography notes (like we do with Jerome Robbins' stuff for WEST SIDE STORY and FIDDLER).

Sorry I can't be of more help with that - I'd be happy to send it to you if we had it!

A cursory glance through this issue of SS reveals the names of HHW'ers,  Michael Barnum, Anthony Dale, Mr Bruce Kimmel (hisself), and yours truly - in either the reviews or letters section or BOTH!

Well, that answers my question about the new issue's being out.  I wonder when mine's showing up?

I caught a few minutes of the color portion of THE WIZARD OF OZ on TCM last night, and it really looked dazzling. I know Warner has remastered the film in Ultra-Resolution (the same process they used on ROBIN HOOD, GWTW, EASTER PARADE, and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN), and they're planning on releasing it in another special edition package this fall.

Maybe I'll finally buy this.  I've never gotten this movie on video or DVD.

Btw, re: Big Brother, not sure when they made the "twist" public, but I'm sure the contestants have been sequestered for a while now.

Although if I were on the show, I'm not sure I would believe them if they told me I was the only one with a friend in the house.  Although considering there was only one twin in the house last year, I guess it would be possible.

I think it will be fun for the first week trying to figure out who knows who.  I think some people have already started to speculate based on where each person lives.

DR Jen, don't you think this whole "twist" thing will go to pot the first time someone is thrown out and their remaining partner says, "Well, there goes my brother/sister/co-worker/neighbor."  Once that bean is spilt, everyone is gonna suspect that everyone is linked to someone else somehow.

Spoo!  I just read your post where you bring up the same point.

That's kind of what I thought, DRJASON.  Thanks.  My problem is, I don't have any dancers like the ones on the DVD....so it gets a bit complicated. Right Foot, Left Foot....no your OTHER Right foot first.

Bonjour from Pareee!!!  Having a great time.  DR Jane, I was able to find one major patisserie that had Madelines, a place called Fauchon, pretty popular in the pastry world.  Today, we checked out major patisseries for EL Eric's "research" it was a tasty day.  We topped off the day with a picnic in front of the Eiffle Tower.  Tomorrow, the Llouve, Notre Dame and the Opera Garnier - home of the Phantom, we will be visiting box five!!!  Au Revoir for now  :)

I'm still amazed, in this age of AIDS, there are so many pregnancies among celebrities.  Of course, if folk practiced safe sex on television, the soaps would be out of business.

Can you catch AIDS from a turkey baster artificial insemination?

Didn't think that looked right.

From what I read, DR Jennifer, Jennifer Garner's pregnancy is NOT being written into the scenario of ALIAS. They're going to be filming this summer before she gets too far along and also plan to have her be photographed from the waist up in many shots.

To be honest, with ALIAS scheduled opposite SURVIVOR, JOEY/WILL & GRACE, SMALLVILLE, and THE O.C. next season, I don't expect it to last past January. I think ABC will cancel it midseason.

T.O.D.

THE LION IN WINTER

WAIT UNTIL DARK

WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS -- I actually prefer the film to the play because of the scene at the hospital between Lee Kinsloving and Shirley Knight.  Also, the entire cast of the film is wonderful.

Lois Smith looks EXACTLY like George Reeves' mother. They did a MYSTERIES AND SCANDALS show (on the E! Channel) on George Reeves' death, and the pictures show her to be very mcuh the spitting image of Lois Smith. Great casting!

DRLaura beautiful photos of the fireworks.

Last night we watched fireworks, on our new high definition TV, over Mt Rushmore.  We thought they were grand until we saw the fireworks over the river in Louisville, Kentucky.  Seems every year before the Kentucky Derby there is a spectacular display of fireworks.  Set off from barges & the bridge they are designed to reflect in the water.  I want to see this show one day.

Ron Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis both begin on the 15th, not this Friday.:(

The day has not progressed as I had planned, haven’t even had a walk and doubt there will be time to do so.  I will try and return later.

The reason I think it's Star Jones rather than Garner or Janney is because the blind item said "television celebrity," and while those two other women are celebrities, they are actresses first and foremost while Star Jones is famous only for being famous, not for acting and CERTAINLY not for her interview skills which are negligible.

I think all these wonderful lists prove that Hollywood has done a generally good job with many of the famous plays of the past century. Looking at others' lists, I saw BECKET and THE LION IN WINTER, both of which should have been on my list.

Got about an hour of the LARA CROFT 2 movie watched. Excellent high definition photography and effects, wonderful sound. The story, of course, is a jumbled mess.
