And did they throw you a nice going-away party?

If it's like the places where I worked, all they said was:

Great photo, JRand!  Thanks for sharing.  One of my favorite jobs in community theatre was director's assistant, which I did for DR elmore several times.

And did they throw you a nice going-away party?

I had a great long-term temp job years ago at Oregon Health Sciences University.  They had just bought one of the very first OCRs (optical character readers) and my job was literally to sit there and feed documents in page by page and then to make sure they came up relatively intact on the word processor (this was pre-PC days, ladies and gents).  So I got to do a lot of reading for about 4 months.  Anyway, this particular department used to have parties at least 2 or 3 times a week and I would always be invited.  Of course when my temp assignment wound down, they had a big shindig to say goodbye to me.  I asked my supervisor, "Didn't we just have a party yesterday?"  To which she replied, "Oh, it can't have been that long ago!!"   ;D

A great TOD some day might be weirdest/best temp job you've ever had.  I bet I win.  ;)

I just read that Tony winner Cady Huffman is joining the cast of ONE LIFE TO LIVE replacing Kimberlin Brown as Dr. Paige Miller. Her episodes begin airing in August.

elmore, the four-hour Herc is not yet out.  I just finally got one from Hallmark for my perusal.

Got my line-up in the mail today of the next Ray Courts show...Doesn't seem to be a stunning line-up except for a bunch of Bond girls.  I wouldn't mind taking a gander at the lovely Caroline Munro (who is marked as only a tentative guest).

If you hear when it's available for sale, please let me know.

I remember Caroline Munro from the Dr Phibes movies.

I remember (oh, a Sondheim reference) now... The Paris cast of Les Miserables.  It appears to be totally out of print as even Dress Circle doesn't have it.  I'm on a hunt for it.  I have it on "look out" on eBay and I've been looking around the 'net for it.  Does anyone else have a place they get things like that from?  (besides Footlight)

Not to brag, but I have it. ;) Searching eBay and Amazon.com's used CDs are the only place that I would know of to get out of print items.  Good luck...unless you want a copy.

Good Afternoon!

...And my Word of the Day[/b] is PRODUCTIVE...  Or it could be INDUSTRIOUS... either/or.  In any case, it's been a good afternoon.  I got a lot more done than I had originally planned - and thought I could have in the past couple of hours.  I even fit in time to get my hair cut - so I can be freshly coiffed for my arrival in NYC tomorrow morning.  -Those Chelsea Bois don't stand a chance now!  -I wish.  ;)

In any case...

Just two more things to take care of here, and then I can take a real break and catch up on the day...

Laters...

...And I'm not sure if this was mentioned yesterday or earlier today...

Sad to hear of the passing of Michael Gibson, the orchestrator of many Kander & Ebb shows (among others).  When I was up at Vassar, we had received word that he had just been put onto a machine - many people working up there were friends and co-workers of his.  His work and his presence will be missed.

DR Stuart, I will see if I can help with the BB6 question:

Kaysar and Michael: neighbors
Janelle and Ashlea: best friends
James and Sarah: dating
Beau and Ivette: former co-workers
all the rest, if I recall, are friends.

Dang, how boring these people must be!!!

Previews of the Lion King start in Melbourne this week. OzDerek has just been offered free tickets - his reponse "I'm glad I'll be in Tasmania". He too was underwhelmed by the show.

We watched Emmy award nominee "Warm Springs" last night. We enjoyed it very much indeed. I knew nothing about FDR before his presdidency - very interesting.
