Ok, it's just Safari that's being funky.  All is fine on Explorer.  Odd...

(this is Jed, not Ann... just didn't bother signing her out on Explorer)

I'm back from Barrymore's, DRCillaliz to SWEENEY TOOD, DrsDanise, Jose, Ginny, Jason, Ben, and MBarnum off to Splash.  I don't know where DRRodzinski went.

It was a gathering of delightful people, lots of photos, and good food and conversation.  What a wonderful assemblage!

I bet the crowd is parting for the HHW group at Splash right now.

Sorry to have missed Barrymore's.  I just planned my time poorly.  Had to get some research done for people who are working tomorrow (even though the office is technically closed tomorrow!) and were waiting for me to finish up.  :(

I've pretty much given up on the trivia question.  I think I've looked at the ibdb for every nonmusical show with a cast of more than 15 during the past few days.

I wonder if it's Kosher to work on the trivia question on the holiday.  I don't think they had trivia in the days of the Great Temple, when the prohibitions were established

I will give a clue.

If you work on one of the questions then it will give you the answers to all the others.

for you New Yorkers I just saw this

McHale's — the Manhattan bar as famous for its celeb sightings as its jumbo burgers — is closing Jan. 1.
With its familiar red and green neon sign, McHale's has been at the corner of West 46th Street and Eighth Avenue for more than 50 years.

The six-floor office building in which it's housed was sold for $30 million to make way for a 42-story high-rise. New owner 46th Street Properties didn't return a call for comment.

Splash, I hear tell, gets its name from there being shower heads hanging from the ceiling above the bar.  And every night (so I hear) the go-go boys dance and the showers get them wet, splashing on the people, hence the name Splash.

As for the mystery lady...well.... I never did find out her name...

Jose I had a nice time in Georgetown and DC.  I shopped a bit with Keith's aunt and then met my new friend at the mall.  We had a nice wall around the memorials and enjoyed the all.  The WWII on is very, very nice and well done.  I especially like how well it tied in with the rest of the area.

Tomorrow morning I have my last test, a two hour one.  After which I might get to leave early and make my way to NY.  So please send vibes I get out early.  They won't let me go until I get an all clear on the initial tests.  I'm not concerned about receiving good news, I just want the results in so I can leave between 11:00 & 12:00 instead of after 1:00.

Hi all, what a day!  I arrived just in time to quick change clothes, pick up my ticket for Sweeney Todd and get to Barrymore's for a delightful dinner. It was great to meet everyone and I think we all had a great time.

Sweeney Todd was an experience. I'm still digesting it, if that isn't an inappropriate word, considering the subject matter!   It got a thunderous standing O and the buzz at intermission was once you got used to the staging, it was great.  I really liked it, but want to sleep on it before giving a full report.

Danise was right, the internet here is intermittent, so I hope this will post

Finally got around to the second episode of Ricky Gervais' EXTRAS tonight. I found Ben Stiller's scenes PAINFULLY unfunny. Ricky, of course, did get off some hilarious comments about or to various people on the set of the film and at a party.

I thought KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL had just about the best episode tonight that it has aired.

And I looked in several places on the internet and found nothing about Fox canceling it or putting it on hiatus. True, it's not doing well, but it's not doing any worse than ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.

I just think Monday night at 8:30 is not the right time period for this rather bawdy romp.

Very, very disaapointed that I wasted an hour of my life with LAS VEGAS tonight. I enjoyed the first part of the crossover episode with CROSSING JORDAN last night, but it had some mysteries to solve.

The plots on LAS VEGAS tonight were less than fluff. Maybe dander would be a more appropriate term. Anyway, a wasted hour.

Recorded the two CBS comedies tonight - HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and OUT OF PRACTICE which I'll watch tomorrow at some point in the afternoon. Also recorded MEDIUM, the previews of which looked really intriguing.

I've already made lunch plans with another friend. so it will be mid afternoon before I can get to them.

What has happened to this site during the daytime hours?

Just because I can no longer post from work, does that mean that everyone's mind has left the gutter???

I can't believe that Mr. Barnum offered Jose a two-hour ride on a ferry, and NO ONE had a single comment???[/size]

My mind remained firmly implanted in the gutter! My comment from ninish this morning:

Quote
Two fairies on a ferry ferreting out food - fun!

should qualify.

And CSI:MIAMI had a very puzzling mystery tonight which kept jerking us from suspect to suspect convincing us each time that we had the right party and then finding another piece of evidence that would take us elsewhere.

Very good show tonight (except for the deep, dark secret from Horatio's past which we're being given tiny bits of information each week in a maddening over-extension of case information.)

No That's why they have goyisher houseboys!

DR Jose, Do you know Mackenzie Thomas or Laurie Wells from the Mama Mia Tour?  I sat next to them tonight at Sweeney Todd.  I didn't talk to them but picked up their names by evesdropping! Mackenzie was all excited because she's going to be in Mama Mia on Broadway for 5 weeks. I think she starts next week.
