Oh, I think after he read the synopsis, he (or she) would definitely be on board. It's a sure-fire hit! Actually, it's THREE sure-fire hits. How can you go wrong with that??

Last night DR MBarnum was introduced to the vocal stylings of this...erm...little lady.

I right after she sang that song, they kicked her ass out of the group.  :-\

I watched MEDIUM this afternoon when I got in from lunch. I found it quite wonderful, and I liked it so much because for at least the first half hour, I couldn't tell where it was going, and I always love surprises like that.

Series television has by its nature to be rather repetitious, resorting to easy formulas due to the speed with which they must film the episodes, edit, score, and get them ready for airing.

MEDIUM, more than most series, has attempted to keep things always changing, always interesting so that you're never quite comfortable with how a story unfolds. Many episodes are not like previous ones, and I think this is one thing that sets it apart.

Hmm... It's looking like I'm going to have to beg off dinner tonight with the gang...  But I'm also waiting on word from DRMBarnum to see if he's finished with his time at the Museum... So...

I may just head into midtown in a few, and wait around... Or at least stop by the Comfort Inn to say HI to DR Jane.

I also watched HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER this afternoon, one of the new CBS comedies. This is the one with Neil Patrick Harris playing a supporting role and stealing the show handily from everyone else.

Honestly, it's a JOKE how much funnier and more watchable he is than any of the other leading players on the show.

It hasn't been one of my favorite new shows, but I thought last night's show was the best of the three that have aired thus far.

I finished last night's recorded shows by watching OUT OF PRACTICE. Once again, it was the best comedy of the night, a hilarious ensemble show with razor-sharp lines, hysterical situations, and fine playing from all.

Like many episodes of FRASIER, the plot involved a situation where the audience knows something lewd about a character (last night, it was that a man asked to be a lady's date was really a male escort) which the other characters don't know, and every line the other characters say to or about him has double meanings. Just hilarious from the minute that party scene started until the show ended.

I will say again, it's my favorite new show on all the networks.

When I finished catching up on last night's TV shows, I wanted a Disney animated movie to watch.

I haven't gone out and gotten CINDERELLA yet (my friend John and I are probably going to Circuit City tomorrow to pick it up), so I selected SNOW WHITE to watch this afternoon.

That score is something of a marvel. One brilliant, melodic song after another. Four of them in like the first 13 minutes. Simply amazing.

And the clean-up work done on this film (plus the enhanced home theater sound DIsney is becoming famous for) makes it look practically brand new. On the HDTV, it's an astonishing looking movie.

DR JOSE who did you vote for on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?

Is it just going to be one winner or a man and a waoman?

I was sort of surprised that Blake (the best dancer by far) was voted out by the fans.

I've always liked Melody since her first audition.  And I think Ashley (is that her name) is also quite wonderful. I think nick is okay (isn't he the friend who came with melody to the auditions?  I think jamal is alright.  But I don't think he can compete in the different styles like the others can (although he seems popular with the public).

Yes it was quite unpredictable.

That really described how i felt, "not quite comfortable".  It was sort of unsettling watching her dream about the institution, wondering if she would be caught there.

Did you find it ended abruptly again?  This is intentionally vague, but I wanted to see the reunion (not just hear about it).  It is crazy how everything connects!

Btw, at 10pm the new show Close to Home will be premiering. I will watch it since here it comes on at 8pm, and I am very curious.

As for my favorite new show, well I've only watched a couple of new shows (I will check at the WB's Related tomorrow).  But I think my fav is Ghost Whisperer.  Last Friday's show was such a weepfest.  But it was so sweet and touching, and I can't help but like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Oh, and I've never seen a minute of Ghost Whisperer.

I didn't think this week's MEDIUM had as abrupt an ending as last week.

One thing they're doing here is stopping the show for a commercial at about the 10:51 mark, have three or four minutes of commercials, and then the postscript part of the episode only last a minute or two. That may be why it seems so abrupt.

Most shows come back after their next-to-last set of commercials around the :46 minute mark of the hour and go for another ten minutes or so, then break for more ads and then show previews and credits to finish out the hour. MEDIUM has not done that for either of the last two episodes.

Time for the living room to get cleaned and then back to SNOW WHITE. After that until SUPERNATURAL comes on, I'm not quite sure what I'll watch.

I do know that I got NO mail of ANY kind today - no packages, no letters, no bills (well, I should be happy about that).

That doesn't happen often. Hopefully, tomorrow's mail will be  more usual.

DR ELMORE - I know exactly what you mean.  I have two colors of skin myself:  white or red.  And I ALWAYS wear a hat as well!

My hair was a deep orange when I was much younger.  If I go outside without any sunscreen on, I burn so easily!  I hate it when that happens.  Fortunately, it's been a long time since I did get a sunburn.  I have to be careful about that. :-\

<SNIP>.... and I can't help but like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

I can.  Actually, I don't really mind her, as much as her make-up and hair people.  Her hair is kinda big and to me it looks like a wig.  Also, in some of the close-ups, you can really tell that she's wearing fake eye lashes.  For some reason, it bothers me.  To me, the show is just okay, but I dont' know if I'll continue to watch it.  It's just not "special" enough.  And there are more hour-long shows this season that I want to watch than I can remember wanting to watch in quite a few years.  That's very unusual for me, so this one won't be missed.

But I'm happy for any and all who do like the show and JLH. ;D

Running some errands around town today and stopped at Ameoba and another used record shop I know.  At Ameoba, I picked up DVDs of a COUNSELLER AT LAW with the great John Barrymore and for a buck ninety-nine, BLUNT, starring Athony Hopkins and old pal, Ian Richardson.

At the other record store managed to pick up $3.99 recorded plays of MEDEA with Judith Anderson & Anthony Quayle; DYLAN with Alec Guinness; and AFTER THE FALL with Jason Robards.  For 99c, picked up original cast recordings of Fanny, Man with the Load of Mischief, and No Strings.  They had a mess more original casts and soundtracks...all for 99c

SNOW WHITE and CINDERELLA are okay.  But for me SLEEPING BEAUTY will always be the animated Disney fairy tale closest to my heart.
