I had the bestest time with everyone yesterday.  I am so happy that I got the chance to know everyone a bit better.  And I found a kindred spirit in Jason- who knew that someone else knew about sucking in your chin/neck for photos! (I know, it sounds weird but it totally works)

Thank you again Jose, for putting together such an awesome event!  What a fabulous day!!

Larry, such language!

der Brucer

DRderBrucer, poor Michael Barnum heard much more colorful invective from me!  It was usually at his expense.

DR GEORGE - Into The Arms of Strangers is the documentary I was thinking of, but now I want to see the ones the DR derBrucer wrote about.

A couple of special interest DVD documentaries would be:

NAKED FAME - follows Colton Ford as he tries to get out of doing gay porn and launch a singing career.  His life partner Blake Harper is along to help out.  Very interesting.

BEEFCAKE - not entirely a documentary, it is surrounded by a fictional account of the life of Bob Mizer - but the extras and inserts of actual AMG photos and films tell us how it was in the days of Eisenhower.

TOD:

Moon Over Broadway
Company - Recording the Cast Album

A Night to Remember - a documentary about the making of the film of the same name.

Titanica in IMAX format!

JRand -- I have never heard of that documentary.  Is it on video or DVD?  Where, may I ask, did you steal buy it?

New Adventures Ahead!

Does everyone remember Domino, the Dalmatian der B and I found wandering in our neighborhood, who we returned to his owner a couple of times?  Well, said owner dropped by this morning, asking if we "knew anyone" who would be able to take care of Domino for a couple of weeks.

We may have a new member of the household, at least on a short time basis!

Life is never dull.

Who will be staying at the house?  Domino?  Or the construction worker?

It was first on AMC a few years ago, and it is an extra on the Criterion DVD edition of A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.  They talk to producer William MacQuitty and extensively to Mr Walter Lord, who I had never seen interviewed.

Worth renting the DVD for - or purchasing if you like the movie.

Yes I have. About a foot of it.  I put it in a ziplock baggie and sent it to Locks of Love.

That was about 3 months ago.  I'm now in the process of deciding whether I should keep it short or grow it back out.

The documentary is probably the only Titanic-related film that I have not seen.  I do have a leather-bound copy of A NIGHT TO REMEMBER autographed by the late Mr. Lord.

Nice!

Check out the documentary - it has some good stuff - and the DVD also has some of the pressbook AND some of the previews for the movie.

TO DR CP:

If your goal is to get rid of the vinyl - by all means add Elvis to the inventory.  My guess would be that if purchased that way, they will eventually end up on EBAY or at the Used Vinyl Emporium anyway.

The Elvis/soundtrack market fluctuates wildly on EBAY - with a title not selling for a LONG time and then a bid war breaks out.

Sell them at your garage sale if you want to  make some random person extremely happy - or take them to AMOEBA if you want someone who is looking for HAREM SCARUM specifically VERY happy.

I would guess the "Limited Editions" would be very HOT items.
