Speaking of memorabilia, BK, I just got my notice of the Ray Court show coming on January 17th & 18th.

Danise - yes, there is a downloadable version and it's quite cheap as I recall - go to www.1stbooks.com, enter either title or my name and you'll see how to get them.  We've actually had quite a few people read them that way.

Jed: Which Quizno's sub did you have?

We are now officially on our way to 18,000 posts and yes, I'd say today already qualifies as a complete and utter frenzy.

A couple of comments on above posts:

Annie Miller did the musical MAME and Connie Bennett did the non-musical AUNTIE MAME.  I don't think either did the other version, so in all probability the Bennett Playbill® came first.  I saw Celeste Holm in the musical version.  She was okay although her late husband Wes Addy was his usual boring self as Beau.  Gooch was played by a pre-M*A*S*H Loretta Swit.

NEW FACES OF 1952 will be out on DVD later this month.  I hope it is Widescreen and not the poorly done Pan and Scan version that is on VHS.  I wish that the version that was televised on Play-of-the-Week on 1961 would be released.  It was called "Best of New Faces" but was almost all 52 with only a couple of people or numbers from 56.

I have never eaten at a Quizno's (they are just starting to open around NYC) but the photography (or printing) in their color newspaper ads is so awful that the food does not look very good.  I hope it looks better in person.

And on a totally different note, a pic of me a couple of years ago.

I would've thought the picture was taken only yesterday...

Thank you, DR Jason, for the ASSASSINS pic. Since it's going into Studio 54, I'm assuming it's not for a limited run. God, how I hope it lasts until I get there in July.

Actually, MattH...PACIFIC OVERTURES is booked for that theatre, as well, though that doesn't happen until the fall. Still and all, I've been told that ASSASSINS is a limited run.

WEL, the videotape I have of NEW FACES is letterboxed, and it's a commercial release, not taped off TV.

I'm not offended, Ron.  I do the same thing sometimes.  :)

He lived for over  2 1/2 years so he did have a full life.  I don't know exactly how old he was when I bought him.  They only live about 3 years or so I read on the I-net.

Back when I first got him a bunch of people got one as well.  They were doing that plant/fish in a jar thing.  It's sick because they were told they didn't have to feed their fish--he would live off of the plant.  What a big fat lie.

I read on the net that when you see a fish eating off of a plant, it's like you being locked in a room with a couch.  If I looked in and saw you so hungry you were eating the stuffing out of the couch, I could tell people, "See you don't need to feed him/her"  They live off the couch."  They do it because they are starving to death.  The whole process takes about 60 days.

I fed my fish 3 times a day, not counting treats.  I bought a fish feeder for the weekends and holidays so he would never go without.  The feeder cost about $35.00--the fish about $2.99 but I didn't care.  He had to eat!  I cleaned him once a week with fresh drinking water NOT tap water.

I would just like to add that my fish lived the longest of any of those poor babies.  I wonder why.

I guess I need to read up on ASSASSINS and see what dates they're selling tickets through.

Danise - I just went to the 1stbooks website - it's only 4.95 to download the book, pretty good.  BUT THE BEST THING - everyone must go there immediately and type in Kritzer Time - you will see a free preview, about half of the prologue.  Go now.  Especially JANE.

And yes....Bennett was in the play Auntie Mame and it was way back in 1957 when I saw it.....Miller was musical MAME in 1969!

WB DRDanise....sorry about the amphibian....

Wasn't Natasha Richardson's MOTHER Guenevere in the CAMELOT movie?

Just to clarify...the logo in my profile is the logo used for the Original London Production--NOT the new Broadway production. The marquee I posted earlier is the new B'way logo.

I was going to d/l it but it's not available yet.  I bookmarked the site and will keep an eye on it for when it is.  I really  enjoyed the sample. but  I think I might want the hardback since I know the author.

Aww I just found out one of my aunt and uncle's dogs, Sparky, passed away. Sparky was like their "firstborn son." :( I hope they're doing all right.

We weren't commenting on the Kritzer Time preview because we had to go read it first, BK! :)  I have now done so, and it has whet my appetite for the third book, oh yes, my appetite has been whetted.

I'm very sorry to hear that Laura.  I well understand the feeling of losing a "child".  I tend to get to attached to animals but I never stop falling back in love with the next one.

I didn't answer because I was on the other site reading the preview.

Well, what's wrong with the OTHER people here?  I glad someone's appetite has been whetted.  I was very excited to see it up, and I've started a new topic on our Kritzer discussion board.
