TCB, I'm not sure if anyone wrote to Beverley about the show. She did mention our chat on the next show she did (January 4, 2006) and said that some people said how much they enjoyed it.

I'm putting together the liner notes for the CD so it will be a while before I send out copies. I haven't forgotten but I'm taking my time.

I'm still stewing about the removal of THE BOOK OF DANIEL from the NBC schedule. Focus on the Family is crowing now about how with their portests and boycott, they are responsible for the show's failure. Well, they certainly scared off advertisers (scary in itself that a group could weild such power), but I know if the show had soared in the ratings, advertisers would have been breaking down the door to buy into the show.

Focus on the Family has been waging a war against DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES since it began, but advertisers haven't backed away from sponsoring it since it's among the five most popular weekly series on TV.

Perhaps, if Aidan Quinn's character was gay, or maybe if Jesus was bi, the show might still be on the air.

TCB-LOL

Matt H, some people simply didn’t care for THE BOOK OF DANIEL.  I thought it was okay and Keith wanted to turn it off, so we did.  We never finished the first episode.

OzDay is always in the School summer holidays so it has never seemed that special!
It is also the marking of the European invasion of this contintent!

Enjoyed ICE STATION ZEBRA again last night myself. :)

ICE STATION ZEBRA!  That is what I used to call the bed I shared with my ex-wife.

I don't even know what that means.

Also, what's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL about?  I thought it was going to be a theatrically released movie, and then I heard that it was a movie on the Disney Channel, and then I thought I heard that it's an actual series.  The soundtrack is #1 on iTunes currently.  Any word on this?

Fortunately, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL was only a movie on the Disney channel.  However, I believe that in the past week, Disney has shown it more times than NBC has shown, or intends to show, THE BOOK OF DANIEL.

In all fairness, I might have enjoyed the musical more if I hadn't caught it on SING A LONG night.  For some reason, reading how insipid the lyrics were was actually worse than just listening to them.

That's cool, too.

But did you join a coalition calling for its removal from the air so that nobody could see it if they wanted?

The show is pretty good, IMO.  I actually think it's quite tame all things considered.

There are plenty of shows on the air that I loathe, but I think other folks should have the right to watch them if they wanted to.

I abhor all forms of censorship...especially when it's root is persecution by religious groups.

And I'd call it wasting your time on a lot of crap.  Horseracing, I guess . . .

And I guess porn is the hallmark of time well-spent?

Good Evening!

DR Jason- Well... Depending when you want to "escape" from New York, I could always pick you at the bus station aftermy show Friday night.

*Oh, and, yes, those washny.com busses do not run on Saturdays.

...And Steve used to snore in the car, so... I'm used to it.  ;)

Only in the car?

I'm producing and writing the spots.  They have a voiceover gal, Alysse Beasley (or however you spell her first name).

I shall now be on my way to see Jay Johnson's show, after which I shall return.  Keep the home fries burning until my returning.

If this weren’t so sad I could almost laugh at the thought of me joining such a coalition (I know you don’t think I did).  I just meant it might not have survived anyway.  Knowing people have that kind of power to hurt others scares the heck out of me.

On Friday, the Washington State Legislature will vote (and it is expected they will pass) the Gay Civil Rights Bill that has been debated and then defeated in this state for three decades.

Even before the measure is passed, or signed into law, several good Christian leaders have called for a nationwide boycott of Microsoft and several other major corporations that have dared to place their support behind this "gay agenda."  Equal rights is part of a Gay Agenda???   How is it possible that I am 55 years old, and I didn't even know I had an agenda?

Isn't Jay Johnson a comedian with a dummy?  I mean, I think he's a ventriloquist.

I got two brand new used Record Albums at the Goodwill Store today:

The Mitchell Trio (on Mercury) - Typical American Boys

PIPPIN - Original Broadway Cast LP

But how is PIPPIN the OBC unusual?  Doesn't everyone have this album?  Well, yes and no.  This is the Gatefold album with the lyrics and photos inside.  I had read about it, seen it on EBAY, and now I own one!

Demonstrating why there needs to be a separate gay civil rights bill.

My family name was changed to avoid persecution and make it easier to get work.  When my father first started his medical practice he had a patient who refused to believe he was Jewish since he was such a gentleman.  ::)
