I've just had an epiphany.

Oh, all right.  Not an epiphany.

I've just had a memory recovery, though.

It's a cheer...from high school...that's so utterly lame and ridiculous...and was so much fun to chant...that I'm going to write it down right here:

Ma-hee
Ma-high
Ma-ho

Rum-dum ninny-cat ninny-cat
So-cat-rat

Hobba-gobba rick-a-rack-a
Hobba-gobba firecracker
Hobba-gobba ya-zoo
Johnny plays the ka-zoo
Sis-Boom-Bah!

Wade Hampton!
Wade Hampton!

Rah! Rah! Rah!

I was graduated from Wade Hampton High School in Greenville SC in 1966 -- so, after 40 years, this memory surfaced.   What next?

Probly not...but maybe Dwier Brown or Kevin Costner...

If I get to pick, I will go with Dwier Brown.

DR Jennifer, SMALLVILLE and GILMORE GIRLS are sure things as is the new AQUAMAN hour. EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS and AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL on UPN are also sure things.

Those with better than average chances are SUPERNATURAL, VERONICA MARS, and REBA. EVERWOOD is 50/50.

All this according to articles I've been reading since the new CW network was announced.

I saw in next week's TV GUIDE than the IDOL results show starts at 8:30 and is an hour long (ugh!). I hate the hour results shows.

As for PEPPER DENNIS, it had a very inauspicious debut on Tuesday night earning about 2 million fewer viewers than SUPERNATURAL used to garner in that time slot. Unless it improves quickly, don't expect it to be around another season.

THE AMAZING RACE had even lower ratings on Wednesday night than it had last Tuesday night at a later hour. Perhaps word hadn't completely spread about its changing time period, but at least it didn't do any better than OUT OF PRACTICE/COURTING ALEX did in the time slot. Maybe that will help in their quest for a renewal.

Now, I need to get offline and get some chores done before network TV begins.

BTW, NBC is repeating that awful TEACHERS pilot show in THE OFFICE's timeslot. I know *I* won't be watching (again).

I have been boycotting NBC due to the deterioration of qaulity programs...

Well Gilmore Girls is definitely my favorite WB show by far.  I also do enjoy Everwood, so i hope it gets renewed.  I'm actually just hoping that i get this new station.  RIght now neither the WB nor UPN are on our huge cable selection (however from 10pm-midnight everynight our FOX station does all the WB shows).

That is really sad about AMAZING RACE.  They really did promote it heavily. :(

So how many viewers did it get?

Spring fever has truly set in here.

The day is gorgeous....unbelievably gorgeous.

It's difficult to imagine we're gonna get socked by another rain storm in about 24 hours.

Yesterday was gorgeous here with temps in the 60s. Cloudy and a tad cooler today but still nice temperature wise.

It was 86 degrees here today. AMAZING!   Now I'm waiting for the storms to hit.  It's already cloudy and I'm sure they will start soon.  I'm catching a cold and really can't afford to have one on Monday - I have a jury trial - so I'm trying to take it easier today than I normally would doing trial prep

My mother is having a diverticulous episode. If she isn't feeling better torrow it's to the doctor and probably the hospital, which means they won't visit this weekend. I'm hoping she feels better tomorrow

DR TCB - While you're taking Vicodin you should also be drinking a lot of water and fruit juice.  That's what the ER nurse told me when I went there with severe gastrointestinal problems after 4 days of Vicodin.  She said the oral surgeon should have told me that  ::)

Had an e-mail from the singer I was supposed to meet.  Saying she'd hoped I wouldn't charge my usual fee for doing her act (my usual fee is a third of what anyone else charges, and is about to go up), and so she thought she'd have to pass.  I think it was a test to see if I'd come down, but it was such a relief that I just wrote her and said, sorry no can do, good luck with your act, and nice knowing you.

I should never have said yes - I cannot do these things because of the money - it's too much work and this girl isn't good enough, and no matter how much I'm able to help her she's still not going to be good enough, because she fancies herself a "jazz singer" and she doesn't even know what that means.  That, coupled with her inability to stay on pitch - well, I'm happy not to go down that road.

On the other hand, and I know this will make MBarnum and others happy - our very own Seattle gal, Miss Jessica Skerritt, has moved to LA and we'll be meeting tomorrow after I do a little vocal session with Mr. Guy Haines.

I began writing a new play this afternoon.  Still feeling my way, but I did three pages, and some of it is funny, so that's good.  It takes two or three days to get comfortable with the charcters' voices, so I'll be futzing with it quite a bit, but so far, I'm very happy with the names I've chosen for them.
