I've never built or designed a set, but probably with chicken wire and papier-mâché.

Please send good vibes out Arizona way. Our newest church member (one who walked in the first day we opened) was trimming a palm tree and fell out of the tree. He was complaining to the paramedics of back pain -- at least he has feeling.

Trimming a Palm Tree on Palms Day???!

I've just spent a lovely evening at "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," courtesy of our wonderfully generous and kind  DRWilliamFOrr and his handsome everlovin' Joe.  DR Ben made up the fourth of our party and DR Jose and his friend Andy also showed up.  I don't know homw many DRs have seen the show, but it's quite delightrful:  very funny and full of heart and humanity,  I've always liked Bill Finn socially but I haven't been a fan of his work; I loved everything about this show, and I thought Bill's work was quite wonderful.

I've just packed my bag for an emergency flight tomorrow to Ohio, if I have to make the trip, and I plan to spend the first couple of hours tomorrow morning here by the phone.  My father's surgery is scheduled for 7 am.  I will chill out now and read a bit of my new book on Mozart's operas.  As I think positively about tomorrow.

Sondheim release on Kritzerland label sounds nifty to me.

As Lauren Bacall just said on television:  The great thing about a bear trap is that you don't have to catch a lot of them...you just need to catch one BIG bear.

Good evening to you all. I had a wonderful evening with Dear Elmore. (hugs and best wishes to your father), WFO, Joe and Jose. It was an unexpected pleasure and I thank William for the kind thought of a ticket for me.

I must get to bed. It's 10:25 and I have to be at work tomorrow. I have a big presentation to make in two weeks and I'm working on it right now. It's more a re-working of an old PowerPoint presentation showing some new staff how to do what it is we do but replacing some of those PP slides can be a pain in the butt so I need to be alert and alive tomorrow.

Hello, Dear François, I wish I was spending April in Paris (there's a song cue if I ever heard one :-)

The government claims my client did a hand to hand sale with a snitch under surveillance, had an apartment rented in his name where meth was cut with MSM and then sold (no furniture there, just the stuff for the drugs - oh yeah, and my client's fingerprint on the bag containing drugs) and that he was having people make trips back and forth to california for him to bring in pounds of meth.

Let's just say this is one of those cases that my client is getting his right to a jury trial because he wants a jury trial.  I'm not expected to win, which actually makes it more fun for me.  I can be creative, go out on a limb and really try to stir things up.  I've won some that way and lost some that way.  If I win, I'm pulling a rabbit out of my hat.  If I lose, well it's what people thought would happen.   The pressure is on the government because this is considered a slam dunk for them.   There is no  pressure on me and I really do have some legitimate things to argue about. Maybe enough to create doubt, not sure....I'll find out in the next couple days.

Wow! Makes G&S sound so - ummm... well, SILLY!! Good luck! Have a blast, kiddo!

Hello, Dear François, I wish I was spending April in Paris (there's a song cue if I ever heard one :-)

Hello, Ben!

Well, April in Paris has been lousy so far!
Cold and rainy; feels more like autumn (in New York!) and I have a sore throat...

Today was the Paris Marathon... and while they ran I slept!
It's 4:45 am right now and I have 2 radiators working full blast next to me!
Of course the runners now sleep but I am NOT running... just my nose is... (Sorry!)

Better than having a lovely Taco Fell Beast!! ;)

Good luck with NARNIA: Narnia gave me a hernia! :-\
And that Snow Queen left me totally... cold!
The kids, most of the time, are left without any direction at all, and only the youngest one acts well!

But then what do I know.... me and my tacky titled book of poetry! ;)

Hands across the table,
While the lights are low,
Though you hush your lips,
Your finger tips
Tell me all I want to know.
Hands across the table,
Meet so tenderly,
And they say,
In their little way,
That you belong to me.

I did finsh BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN early this evening. Wept as before, perhaps a little more quietly this time. It is still a very moving piece of filmmaking.
