And speaking of John Abraham...DRs Elmore and JRAnd55 have packages on the way via USPS at this very moment.

You have been warned. :-X

Absolutely! I am hoping it will play on the big screen in Portland, but if not then I will at least buy the DVD...of course it stars Mr. John Abraham so you know I wouldn't miss it!

The reviews have been glowing and I was thinking that I must go and see it... Then I realized that I have a DVD of the movie sitting on my shelf -- which I received as a FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION mailing for the Genie Awards (the Canadian Oscars).
Interesting Factoid: I used to know Deepa Mehta when she was "Deepa Mehta Saltzman" - a name I loved. She produced Martha, Ruth and Edie, a Canadian feature trilogy of which I wrote one (a third?) - namely "Martha"...

Maria, you must watch it and give you opinion!!! Especially what you think of John Abraham! Besides being nice to look at he is a charming actor.

I'll try and see it in the next week or two.

And then came LESS THAN PERFECT. Patrick Warburton has lost a considerable amount of weight! I didn't notice it last week on the premiere, but it was certainly evident in last night's episode.

The show always makes me smile even if there weren't as many laugh out loud moments as there were in BOSTON PUBLIC.

The star of that show, Sara Rue has also lost a lot of weight.  I saw her on Ellen a while back and it took me about 5 minutes to realize who she was.

Yes, she has, and it's been very noticeable. But her hair is now ridiculously red (not carroty orange, mind you, but RED), and I don't think it's very becoming.

I believe that's a wig. I saw her last week in a musical (she was excellent!) and she has chin-length blondish hair now. (And it's not a wig.) She looks quite pretty as her new blonde, slim self.
You can probably catch her May 5 on the Genesis Awards on Animal Planet as "herself." Unless they've editd out that portion of the show, she gave an award or said something -- I no longer remember what it was. She and her husband sat at my table, but we didn't get a chance to talk.

But a reverse hell could be sharing that room with you and  listening to arrangements of  "Babes in Toyland" and "Darling of the Day" throughout eternity.

;)

I have much worse arrangements than those to plague a listener!  But there are soooooo many to choose from.

However, I did talk to Laurie Mitchell last night and there IS going to be a reunion of the cast of ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE, evidently, in October in NJ....I do not know any more yet...Laurie couldn't recall the name of the event, only that someone named Kevin is running it and that she is invited.

It would be nice if it ran at the same time everyone was going to be in NY...then I could hang out with the puppet people, skip over the state line and hang out with the HHW people, and just have a grand time!

Maybe some HHWers would come and meet some Puppet People!!

It would be nice indeed if the timing works out.  Not good at all if you are in NJ & NY while Tomovoz is in Portland.

And the word of the day is: KLEPTOMANIAC!

Isn't that what Michael Rennie taught Patricia Neal to say to Gort?

There were so many customers buying roaster chickens today that I decided to roast one myself for tonight's din-din.

AND

I surprised a couple of customers today.  I was working the shop-back cart (items that customers have decided they didn't want once they got to the checkout line - they have to get back on the shelves somehow) when I overheard one woman ask another "Now, where do you think they have bread crumbs?"  I didn't just tell them where to find them, but led them to the location.  They were thrilled that a store clerk would do that for them.

It doesn't take much to make my day.

I'm sure your arrangements are fine...it's the idea of listening to them over and over forever that I think might be a bit hellish.

I had a photo of DR Sandra like that, back when we were fostering kittens. There were SEVEN that slept all over her. They had been found in a box at the side of the road.

Had, is the photo missing?  I would love to see it.

DerBrucer & SWW, my Fletcher is big. ;D

But don't a lot of us already know a puppet people person?  Former HHW DR and very sweet lady, Susan Gordon a.k.a. Agnes.

From Penny:
Quote
I'm beginning my trek up your way, tomorrow - Probably stop somewhere north of Sacramento, then visit with you and Keith if you're up for it on Thursday afternoon - you home?

You weren't fast enough last night ;D

I’ll be home for sure.  Give us a call from the road with an ETA.

Are you staying the night or just stopping for a visit?  Either way would you like to go for a walk?  We can go here or to Lithia Park.

I'm soooo tired.  I've got all my little notes for fixes to the Deceit video, but it doesn't look like we're doing them today or tonight - so, that will most likely happen tomorrow.
